Hello,
I am looking to see if anyone has a favorite shopping cart cover that will also go on public high chairs. I have the Eddie Bauer one that I haven't used yet but it won't go on high chairs also. I am funny about all those germs in public places. Please let me know if anyone has used the one I have and if they like it or not and also if you have another that you wouldn't live without that is also convertible. Thanks so much! Blesst

I understand the whole germ thing, I am a germ-aphobic...which can be good and bad lol! But anyways, I got my sons cart/highchair cover at JCPennys, it works well and has a really cute design. I believe it wasnt too expensive either. Good luck on finding one that you like!

Hi -
I have a "Baby A La Cart" shopping cart cover and I love it - I bought it ____@____.com - it was about $40 and I sent in my own fabric to them and received the finished product in about a week. I haven't yet tried it on a restaurant highchair, but they are designed to fit them as well. It rolls up into itself for storage - I just keep it in the car at all times and I have had so many people come to me and ask me about it when we've been shopping.

I completely understand your concerns about germs, especially after the recent stories of children with the flu!

I have a floppy seat and I really like it. I don't know what the one is like that you have. The floppy seat works really well for shopping carts and for high chairs. It packs into a little bag so it's easy to carry around. I got mine from Babies R Us.

We have a home made one called a Cootie Cover and it fits all shopping carts well, and I have used it on highchairs.

There is good reason to be concerned about the germs. 9 of my mom friend's and I, along with our toddlers ate at a restautant last Saturday and 8/9 toddlers are now sick. My son tested positive for Rotavirus. Colds are one thing, but this is another!

The brand is NoJo and you can find it at Babies R Us. I can't remember the exact name of it, but we LOVE it and use it all the time. You can use it to secure baby/toddler in a chair, highchair, etc and there is an attachment specifically meant to cover the highchair or shopping cart handle.

We have the Eddie Bauer one for the shopping carts, but I honestly just keep a travel package of Clorox Wipes in my bag and wipe stuff down before putting my son into it. Or now thath e's bigger I juse use a booster seat at restaurants.

But if your looking for a cover, I've heard the floppy seat is agood one ,fits all carts and high chairs.

Hi B.,

I haven't checked other people's responses yet - I hope I'm not repeating anything they've already said!

I hope this link works:

I bought this online from Babies-R-Us, and I've been very happy with it. The print on mine is different than this one, but it's the same product.

It works on both shopping carts & high chairs, and it has loops that you can hook little toys on (so you don't have to keep picking them off the floor - something each of us is pretty good at, I'm sure!!) as well as a little pocket for a few of your items (wallet or cell phone). It covers pretty much all the parts that your little one could touch or try to eat, and it has a strap that attaches to the shopping cart to avoid any falls (I haven't figured out how to strap him into a high chair with it, but it doesn't seem like it'd be easy for him to fall out of that). It also can be "mushed" up into a small carrying bag that is attached. I've been really happy with this, and I've definitely gotten a lot of use out of it.

There's another one that I'd been looking at before I bought this one; it's called the Baby Buggy Bag. I decided against it because it was a bit more expensive (@$60); there are several stores online that sell them if you did a search.

I hope this helps!
