Is there a fabric glue that you can use to keep it together, but still keep it feeling soft?
I recently bought an orange shag rug for my son's room. It is not what I would have chosen, but he loves it. It was not very expensive, so I guess I should not be surprised that it is shedding orange fuzz constantly. I have vacuumed it numerous times and even tried "combing" it with my fingers to remove excess fuzz. I assumed that the shedding would reduce over time, but it has been in his room for about three weeks and is still shedding profusely. We have orange fuzz all over the house. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with this? Is there anything to do that will decrease the fuzz? Can I hope that it will stop shedding eventually or should I get rid of it?

i would try vacuuming it then go over it with a lint brush... i would think that over time it would stop...but maybe not...also you could possibly try washing it, if it is washable. good luck!
If it is washable, then wash it a couple times. I had bath rugs that shed all over and it was worse because of the wet feet getting out of the shower. I washed them and the sides of the washer had fuzz on them and the dryer lint screen was covered but after about 2-3 times it is now gone and there is no more fuzz around the house.
Try running one of those sticky clothes defuzzer rollers over it - it will probably take a while to go over the whole rug but it will pull all the loose fibers off......
