Hello,
I am wondering if anyone knows of a consignment shop that will take a twin sized bed? I really need to get it out of my garage - Thanks Moms !
Hi D. -

Thier is a consign place called Hissyfits on Glendale and 7th ST. It is AWSOME!!!!! They do only take items that are GENTLY USED but they are WONDERFUL!! As a mother of twin 8year old daughters Hissyfits has allowed me to shop and purchase nice high end clothes for my girls for a quarter of the cost. This place can look at the bed and get you the BEST price possible for you!!!!
I've had great luck w/ Craig's List. Sold lots of furniture, a go kart, and some tea cups. Plus, its free and doesn't give out your personal info. Easy, peasy!
Hi - take a pic and put it on Craigs List for free - I have seen beds in the childrens section & in the furniture area and you may want to check the wanted Section first to see if anyone is looking for a bed & that makes it easier :)by just answering their ad - Check out what they are going for in the ads and price it to sell :) or esp include bedding if that helps too!! Good Luck - S. :)
Have you tried Craiglist? We have had really good luck with buying/selling from there. Good Luck
I dont know about consignment shops but if you're looking to get rid of just the mattress or just the box spring or if you're talking about the bedframe, it can be very frustrating! This is how I came across Freecycle because we wanted to get our 2 box springs gone but didnt want to simply land-fill it and NOPLACE, not even thrift stores, would take it when it wasn't in a set. I gave our 2 away and wished I had more, because there were so many people needing just the box spring that couldn't find anywhere they could buy *just* the boxspring!
Anyway, I suppose I am turning this into a plug for freecycle - it's awesome. Just look up freecycle.org and select your city - this is just for passing on things you're done with for free, not selling though.
To sell, I'd also recommend Craig's List.
Make it easy on yourself...priced right one weekend on Craigslist will get rid of it. Then you don't have to haul it or split the money with anyone else.
I've sold a dresser and a crib and it wasn't bad. Usually a few promise to come by and don't show, but other than it worked quick.
Try craiglsist.com/ It's a great place to sell things of all kinds and if you are looking for anything then its a good place to find things also.
I don't, but trying listing on craigslist. You have a good chance of selling it there!
Try Craigslist or Freecycle.com
You could list it on craigslist in your local area.
