I was also going to say Freecycle, but I see that everyone else already suggested that one! Good luck, I hope you find what you need.
I am looking for other sites like Craigslist. I heard there are more but I can't seem to find them. I have three kids and only one of them has bedroom furniture. Money is tight and I like craigslist but they don't have what I am looking for.
Know any? Thanks!!
Thank you for all the responses. Freecycle is a very good site. On the search for that I also found www.kijiji.com Great stuff on there too.

Try Freecycle I think the website is freecycle.org. You can get daily updates etc, it is accessed through yahoo groups.
hey,I don't know if this is exactly the type of site you are talking about but try out Wayne County Freecycle it is all free stuff people give to other people. It is really nice you can ask if someone has something and people post what they don't want anymore.I hope this helps you out.

freecycle.com is the way to go! Hope you find some furniture soon!
freecycle is great. you have to offer things before you can ask but if your anything like me you and a ton of kids stuff that needs to go then this is perfect. you can offer anything from toilets to food.
i know everyone is mentioning freecycle but i frequently look on local sales network it is golsn.com you can narrow the search by your area you can find anything from clothes to furniture to cars good luck
If you go to yahoo you can search the groups... I just put in garage sales in the search and came up with 3 I think they are
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MemphisChicksYardSales/
http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/MemphisOnlineBargai...
http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/MemphisOnlineGarage...
hope that helps!

Have you tried Freecycle.org? I've heard good things about it!
You can put a 'wanted' ad on Craigslist. I do not know of anything else that is done on a large scale similar to Craigslist. You might also want to check out consignment stores and large, community yard sales, too.
There is a FreeCycle in Lexington. It's a YAHOO group. Just google FREECYCLE in where ever you live to see if there is one in your area. People give away really nice things that they just don't use anymore. Nothing is allowed to be sold, everything is free. I hope that helps.
freecycle.com is a good website as well
Not sure what you are looking for, but locally we have 4042.com They have a classified section with items for sale. It is also free if you want to post items.

I am not sure about online sources for furniture, but M. mom bought cribs for her house, for the grandbabies, at Once Upon a Child. Maybe you could check them out, I know they are constantly getting new "slightly used" furniture. Good Luck
hey there, another site you can go to is called freecycle.org and you can join for your area. It is a group of people that advertises what they have to offer and also what they are in search of. Everything on the site that is offered is free but it is usually a first respond gets it. Anyway, good luck.
Just wanted to recommend freecycle too. Also, I think it's a .org, not .com
good luck!
Go to yahoo groups enter freecycle in search then look for a local group. everything on freecycle is free for picking it up
Hi,
You might try Freecycle. They have a group in most major towns and cities. If you go to freecycle.com you can see which group is nearest you. It's simply a place where people post what they have to give away and/or what they are needing. There is no charge for anything, ever. Hope this helps out!

Hello! I'm not familiar with Craigslist but.....I bought M. son's full-size bedroom furniture from Rooms2Go KIDS. He had just turned 2 at the time(he is 3 1/2 now), but M. husband and I decided to get him something he could grow in. Our whole idea was, "Find something he can keep until he gets ready to go to college, and if he want's to take it with him, he can." We chose furniture that could go with whatever "theme" his bedroom may be over the years. Although, R2G KIDS does have "themed" bedroom furniture too. (If you're not looking for anything long-term like we were.) They do, however, give you different options of sets that you can choose from, depending on your budget. AND I'm pretty sure they have a clearance section you can look at that has some discounted pieces. Hope this helps! God Bless you and your family!
I'm not sure how this site works as far as whether we live in the same area or not, but if you live in the Wilmington area, you can go to wilmingtonyardsales.com... great site! It lists upcoming yard sales in the area, and also allows people to post items for sale. If you're not in the Wilmington area, your town might have a similar site but it might take a little online research. Another great site is freecycle.org. You're almost guaranteed to have a freecycle group in your area... a great resource for when you need something or have something that you need to get rid of that isn't ready for the landfill. Hope those help!
Another great site is kidzola.com. They are an online consignment site for EVERYTHING related to kids! Anyone can list items for free and they even sign up consultants with no fee to join.
http://groups.yahoo.com/ you can search there for the freecycle and cheapcycle groups in your area.
Wral.com has a classified section with postings for items to sell and items that are wanted. And it is free to use!
Don't know where you live, but our local craigslist-like website is wilmingtonyardsales.com.
You know, you can place a wanted ad on Craig's list for just what you are looking for.
newschannel5.com has a free listing.....
Tennessean.com lets you list items for free for Saturday's paper and it stays on the website for a while....go to their site, and click on classifieds, then go thru the "free" process and cancel as needed once you have found the information you are looking for...
Go to vagree.com. It's a free classified web site like craigslist. But it's very easy to use and has some very good features.
So check www.vagree.com
Have Fun :)

You can go onto Freecycle-charlotte.com or babyfreecycle-charlotte.com
There are a HUGE amount of yard sales going on this weekend. A lot of community yard sales. Look at Charlotte Observer online, or your friday paper. They do yard sales by zip code.
Post on Charlottemommies.com . THis is a huge community and there is a board for buying, selling and trading.
I have found things on there that people were looking for, that I had but had not yet posted to sell.
