Seeking Playgroups in Tempe/Chandler

We moved to the Chandler/Tempe area a few months ago, too (used to live in Florida also, by the way - but that was several years ago). Did you have any luck finding a playgroup? I had tried the Mom's Club when we first moved, but was told they just don't have any playgroups for 4-year-olds that are active right now. I have a 4-year-old son and 5-year-old daughter. My daughter is in full-day kindergarten, but I would love to get to know some moms with preschool-age kids in the area. My son and I have a very open schedule these days!

I have been super happy with the meetup.com group called Tempe Sweet Peas. They schedule all kinds of events. It's $20 for the year & well organized. I have only been with them about a month & I have to say I haven't met too many people yet, but I have found out a lot about inexpensive events to attend. Good luck!

Check out meetup.com! They have playgroups for all types of moms. Working, stay at home, or religious basically there is a group for everyone. I love the group I am in, they have about 4 playdates a week and mom's night out! I believe some groups charge a fee but it's no more than $10 a year. Best website ever!! Check it out.

check out momsclub.org. It will have a link to the chapter closest to you. The moms club is a group of stay at home moms that puts a calender of events together monthly and members can go to as much or as little as they wish. It costs $25 a year to be a member. All activities are for you and your children with the exception of a once a month Moms Night Out. This is a great way to meet people in your area and have some adult conversation while the kids make and play with other friends their age. I highly recommend it!!
