Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good Moms' Group in the South Arlington/Mansfield area. My husband and I moved to the area back in December of 2007 and we still don't know many people in the area. We just recently had our first child in the beginning of June.

The website for the Mansfield Early Childhood PTA is http://www.mecpta.org. It is a good size group of women with lots of opportunities to be involved and get to know some great women. The next meeting will be in September, but there will be a big kick off memebership drive in August. I don't know the date, but it is usually advertised.
First of all congrats on the new little one! There are several great mom's groups in the area. Arlington Early Childhood PTA is a terrific way to meet moms and contribute to the community. Meetup.com has a lot of moms groups in the area. I love LUNA Moms Group in Arlington! Their site is http://moms.meetup.com/2701. Great group of mommies and kiddos ranging from newborn to school age. Hope that helps! :)

Go to meetup.com -that's where I found my Mom's group in South Arlington and they are terrific!It's a big group so there is something to do almost daily if you want. They ask that you attend at least 1 thing a month.
There are several MOMS Club chapters in Arlington. If you go to the main website www.momsclub.org and send them an e-mail, they can give you the contact information for the chapter in your area.
I am in the North Central Arlington chapter and I really enjoy it. Every month we have a Moms Night Out, a Mom n' Tot Lunch, and a Meeting. Then there are playdates at McDonalds, the park, the pool, the zoo, etc. In September we are having an Open House for any moms who are interested and live in Arlington between I-30 and Pioneer Parkway. There is a group called MOPS.(Mothers of Pre-schoolers)But anyone can join that have children pregnancy-kindergarten. I know of one at the Church on Rush Creek in S. Arlington on the corner of Green Oaks and Bowen. It is an awesome group and you will meet great women. They start back up this fall. You can contact ____@____.com

Both Arlington and Mansfield have Early Childhood PTA's. I was involved with the Arlington group years ago. If you have preschool age children, you would probably find a group of friends in this organization...they have play groups and lunch groups, monthly meetings with a speaker and much more!. And of course, my favorite, a brunch at each meeting plus childcare! They run their organization through the school calendar year!

There is a great group at 360 and 20 I believe. It is at High Point Church in Arlington. They meet I believe August-May. It is called MOPS, Mothers of Preschoolers. This group is full of awesome women!! The group is for mothers with children ages birth through kindergarten. You will get to enteract with moms that can give you advice for now and later. I am a member of MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers). We meet at the Church on Rush Creek, which is located at Bowen and Green Oaks in south Arlington. It is a wonderful Christian organization and I enjoy it so much. We meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Childcare is provided. We divide our moms into small groups so it's easier to connect and make friends. During our meetings, we have speakers, do crafts, play games, share prayer requests, etc. It costs about $80 to join for the whole year, which starts Sept 2 and runs until May. Outside of our meetings, your small group will plan playdates, mom's night outs, etc. This is my fourth year and I love it. We have moms of all ages and our common bond (of course) is that we are the mothers of preschoolers. We would love to have you. Feel free to email me or call ###-###-####) for more information.
