I use Dr. Coulter Smith at Women's Integrated Healthcare. She is in with three other OB's and they are all great in my opinion. Dr. Coulter Smith was not on call when I had my baby so Dr. Cope delivered my baby, but she was just as good.
Hello Mamas! My husband and I are ready to try for another baby, Yay! I never thought I would have wanted two kiddos but am surprisingly excited and ready to go for it. The deal is, I delivered my first at Harris Southwest, which was a great facility, but I live in Keller and will hopefully (keep your fingers crossed) get this great job in Haslet (closer to home, flexible hours, great people) and want something closer to home. My doctor recommeded a Dr. Wendy Kindrich who has privliges at Baylor Grapevine. Has anyone had an experience with her? Do tell, good or bad. Or...if you have the most perfect OB/GYN in that area, tell me about her (and I do prefer a female GYN. I like to believe they are more compassionate about what we women go through).
Thanks Ladies!

Julia Flowers, she is awsome!!! very nice, takes time with you!! She is very popular!! So call ASAP. She has a great reputation. Alot of my friends and I had our babies with her!! We loved her. And her hubsand does eye surgerys.
Dr. Kindrich was the covering doctor for my OB/GYN, Dr Coulter-Smith when I was induced with my daughter. She was terrific. While she did not deliver my daughter,(my regular doctor was on duty then) she really impressed me and I would have been happy to have her deliver. They belong to a large practice of all female OB/GYNs just across the street from Baylor. Good luck with your pregnancy and I am sure you will make a good choice-lots of good doctors in the area.

My OB/GYN is Dr. Julia Flowers. Her office is in the Professional Building attached to Baylor Grapevine. She has an excellent bedside manner and I can't imagine that you could find a more competent OB in North Texas. For my last child, I had a "high risk" pregnancy and Dr. Flowers was very attentive to my needs. She even arranged for a surgeon friend of hers to do the closing on my c-section since I had had an infection with my first childbirth (had different OB for that pregnancy) and she didn't want that to happen again. She referred me to other specialists during my first & second trimesters to monitor my pregnancy when it was appropriate. My primary care physician uses her and told me Dr. Flowers had excellent credentials (this is why I chose her for my last pregnancy) - top of her class at Harvard, University of California at Stanford (I think), Resident of the Year, etc., etc. I think her father is a Physician as well (not 100% sure about that though).
Here are the down sides though: she is soooo popular that it's hard to get in to see her. Sometimes I had to wait well over an hour for my scheduled visit because if she happens to have a delivery, you have to wait (I'm guessing that's with any doctor though). This doctor's group will not file on insurance if you have to have a Rhogham (sp?) shot because they don't get reimbursed enough for that so that's like $150 out of your pocket (or maybe more - I can't quite remember). Not every woman needs that though so it may not affect you.
Otherwise, her staff was great and she was great! I only wished she wasn't always so busy, but I guess that's a sign that she's one of the best!
Good luck!
My doctor is Dr. Katrina Allen at Women's Integrated Healthcare. All of the doctors there are great. I've never seen Dr. Kindrich, but can tell you that this office is wonderful. I have no complaints about my two deliveries and have been going there since 2003.
Dr Robert Wai at Baylor Grapevine is the BEST! I know you said you want a woman but as far as I'm concerned he's the closest thing to being one as far as compassion goes. We lost a child at 28 weeks and had complications from 20 weeks on and he was always SO calming and so wonderful. We decided not to try anymore and adopted but I still see him as my GYN and never am nervous or uncomfortable. His staff is great too! Have even run into him in public a few times and he always remembers my name and my husbands-he's great so you might want to think about it if you can't get the female doctor you want!
Good luck!
I don't know Dr. Kindrich, but I go to Robert Wai at Baylor Grapevine and don't have a bad thing to say about him. I've referred others to him, who have in turn referred others. He's very smart, pretty conservative (he's not going to let you or the baby get hurt), and just a very nice guy who has a really calming influence. I had a premie the first time around, and he never made me freak out - just let me know the facts and what we'd do if faced with issues.
Dr. Angelo Mendez at Baylor Grapevine (his office is in the building) is very nice. Good luck!
Dr Kindrick at Women's Integrated is wonderful. Top class Dr with a quiet and gentle approach. All of the Drs over there are great.
