I am looking for a job that works great around the kids school schedule. Ideally it would be something that's either Mon-Fri 6:00-3:00 (approx) with school hollidays off or a few days a week without school hollidays off. No nights or weekends. Do any of you know of someone in the Saginaw/ Fort Worth area that is hiring for something like this? Or any good ideas on where to look? I have clerical and customer service background...I have also taught and coran preschool and a preschool camp for a few years. I've applied numerous times to Saginaw/ Eagle Mountain, Lakeworth, and Fort Worth ISD's for administrative positions and have had no luck.

What can I do next?

Dear A.,

I have a stay-at-home job I really love. I am a beauty consultant with Mary Kay. We average about $25-35 an hour so I make good income, yet can be home when my kids are home. We have intensive training available and you don't have to be the sales personality. I am a quiet, thinker-type person and I love doing this. If you would like to know more, please email me at ____@____.com this helps.

You said you have applied for administrative positions in the area school districts--how about applying for a instructional assistant? Many of the schools have classroom assistants (primarily in special ed classes)--ranging from the kids who are severely MR (needing a lot of medical type attention) to kids that are just needing a little extra help here and there. If you could get on in the school district where your kids go to school, then you would have exactly their schedule--with the exception of a few staff development days where the kids are off and staff works.

Good luck.
