Try working for the school district, otherwise your best bet is to find a company that will work with you. Currently, I am not so sure what the job market is like. I work from home right now with my own business and it works for me, but we do have our draw-backs.

I'm a CMT, so I have to be careful as I make certain I do not work when anyone at home is ill~ therefore I have to reschedule on clients (meaning, not happy clients, but they are thankful that they do not get the infection.).
Recently, I have halted all sessions due to the massive outbreak of H1N1... So I am sure you can imagine the repercussions that gives.

Basically, I would recommend you find something that resonates with you either way so you find joy in the job. Otherwise, you end up miserable~ not fun.

Good luck!

Hey there Victoria,
It depends on what kind of job you are looking for. If you are looking for Mon - Fri 9-5 job, it's going to depend on what your skill sets are and what interests you. I left corporate America for a more flexible "job." I hated missing out on raising my son, so I left to be a work from home mom. I found an incredible company that my team has partnered with. It's different from the typical home party type business. We don't do parties, take orders or collect payments. If you are interested in learning more about working from home, please visit my website www.MomsLivingWithPurpose.com. You can get more information there! Hope tha helps and best of luck!!

As a single mom, I'm sure you're looking for something that provides benefits for you and your child, so anything "work from home" is probably out of the question.

I would suggest trying something in the Administrative Asst or clerical setting. Most office jobs are Mon-Fri with no holidays and a set standard of hours. You could also look at clerical in a medical office. Again, no holidays but probably several different shifts available so you could find something that works with your schedule.

Most clerical positions require typing skills, but if you're working customer service, you probably spend a great deal of your day typing, so you should be fine. Same with the computer skills that are necessary to work in an office.

Hope the suggestions help. Good luck to you!

Hi L.,
If you can get a position with the school district where you live, your schedule would be close to your child's when he or she starts school.
Would you have any interest in a home-based business? If so, I can send you info on daily webinars that explain the business opportunity. We have a special program for moms called Project Mahma (moms at home making a difference...and a lot of money)
Good luck to you in finding the right fit for you.
Victoria
