I moved back to Texas 2 months before my little girl was born and now she is 2.5 months old. I have friends in the DFW area, but they are all at least 45 minutes away and most of them work. I am pretty lonely out here and the only people who come visit me are my parents and in-laws. I would go visit my friends but my baby has a hard time in the car sometimes and 45 minutes is a long time to listen to her scream. Anyway, I was wondering if there are any groups for women with young children where I could meet people. I go to church in Keller and their playgroup only meets once every two weeks and I need more interaction. I would really like to meet new people.... please let me now if there is anything out there.
www.mops.org It is a christian moms club and there are several in the metroplex. I love it.
There is the MOMS club of SW fort worth. MOMS stands for Moms offering Moms Support. We have have monthly business meetings and weekly playgroups. Also there is a montly Moms night out that is fun. You should be able to google MOMS club and get the website for more information.
I'm a member of some moms groups that I found online through www.meetup.com. They have all kinds of different groups to check out. But two that are really good are the Fort Worth Foxy Mamas and The SW Fort Worth Moms Group. Look them up and think about joining. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact me. Good luck!
Hi there. I definately understand the need to have some social time with other moms! I am involved in a group that meets at Harris Hospital downtown called Incredible Infants. It is led by an RN who has 2 young children herself and we discuss a topic every week. We also have several outings and other activities with some neat moms.
