I am on a quest to find something to do from home that actually pays. I don't want to make a big investment to get started and I don't want to solicite on phone to sell something....does anyone know of something fabulous to do to make MONEY ???
I am also looking to working from home to stay home with my son...have you started working for any one of these companies or another one? If so which one and how's it going?

I work for westathome.com. It's like an in-home call center thing. You can set your own schedule as long as they have the hours available. I work at night when my kids are sleeping. You need a minimum of 4 hours a month to stay active, and the min. you get paid is minimum wage. There is potential to earn more depending on the call volume. You really do get paid with west, I have already recieved my first paycheck for training. I know you said you don't want to solicite on the phone to sell stuff, but the they call you and any upsells you have are scripted.

The best thing to do is to market whatever you are good at doing.
My suggestion is not to fall for a MLM business. They aren't what they're cracked up to be.
My husband's aunt works for westathome.com and loves it. She's done it for a year now and really enjoys it. She has created it so she works at night, but I can't remember how many hours she works. I think the minimum is 15, which is not much. You can work more than that too! There's also Arise.com that is very similar. Good luck in your search.
I would recomment aplineaccess.com A friend of mine did it for a year and loved it. She had to go back to the corp world since she became a single mom. Arise.com has some issues. Make sure to check out the BBB for any business though. I did not find anything bad for alpine when I checked months ago. Good Luck!
