If you know of a good moving company that you have used and recomend to move large items such as living room and bed room furniture, washer and dryer, and other large items I welcome some recomendations. I live in Richardson, and need someone for at least 1.5 hours.

We had an appointment this morning with a moving company and they stood us up. I called about 15 other companies that came up on a Google search and none of them even answered their phones on a Saturday morning. Then I called Apple Moving and their representative was very helpful on the phone and had two crews that could come and move us the very afternoon. What could have been a really bad weekend turned out just fine due to Apple's quick service. They did a wonderful job of moving us, being careful to wrap and pad delicate items. Tomas was our crew leader and he and his partner didn't slow down the entire time they worked on our move which lasted 5 hours. They were friendly, hard-working, and courteous. Apple Moving really saved our bacon today!

We moved last year from Michigan to Texas and my husband's company paid for it. (Wonderful, I know). The moving coordinator was Armstrong Relocation Toll free: 1-800-283-0511. We worked with Jeff. They contracted out to United or Corrigan I believe and our lead packer/driver was named Ron, who Jeff has known for years and claims is the best in the business. Ron is actually from Dallas and may do individual work and not just work with Armstrong. I have Ron's cell phone number if you would like it. Let me know.
Definitely Mighty Movers, ###-###-####. We have used them twice and have recommended them to other people who were all very happy with them. Great company - clean-cut, reliable, fast, careful, reasonably priced. They actually made moving less stressful, they were friendly and had great sense of humor.
Don't know how much stuff you have. I just recently used ApartmentMovers.com and was very satisfied. I think they have different size trailors for different size jobs. They were pleasant and very reasonable.
Previously I had scheduled a company called Ameritex and they "no-showed" on us after we waited in a hot, unairconditioned house for 3 hours with no running water.
But we were very pleased with ApartmentMovers.com
In 2000, when we finished building this house, we used Mayflower. We were moving less than 5 miles from the previous house we had built.
We had a good experience with them. I have some special furniture and some extremely heavy furniture. They did a good job, did not destroy any of my new walls, floors or furniture.
I used American Movers company and I was very happy with their service. The guys are very careful with furniture and other things. They are very nice to deal with and . All my friends enjoy moving with them. You could find their phone in the phone book. W.
