I am looking for a good pediatrician with short wait times. Does anyone have any suggestions? I prefer to find a female pediatrician, but more importantly, I am looking for a doctor that sees the child as the patient- no matter what the age- and has short wait times.

What can I do next?

I have used Dr. Mathieu's office since 1989 for my three children. While he does share call with other doctors, you only see Dr. Mathieu during office hours. If a smaller facility is what you are seeking, this is for you. Dr. Mathieu is very thorough and is not quick to put your child through unnecessary testing, unless warranted. He is a parent with three children; so, he appreciates your concerns. My children are just about too old for a pediatrician; but, are reluctant to leave Dr. Mathieu. To me that, and all the injuries/illnesses we've been through, speaks volumes about Dr. Reese Mathieu.

His office is now located at Renner Rd & North Star in east Richardson.

They are not in Richardson but I really like Pediatricians of Dallas. They are located on Walnut Hill across from the hospital. We see Dr. Watkins and he always takes the time to answer all our questions and offer advice on whatever we may be concerned with. The practice has 4 or 5 other doctors and I have heard good things about all of them. They have a sick kid and well kid waiting room, weekend hours for sick kids, and I have never waited more than 5 mins for a scheduled appointment.

If you are willing to go to Plano, my pediatrician's office is on 15th near Coit. Our Ped is Dr. Devilleneuve (Dr. D) and is male and we LOVE him. He was my husband's pediatrician as well as his siblings/cousins. They also have 3 other doctors in the practice and a couple are female. They are North Dallas Pediatrics (website is www.northdallasped.com). I have seen some of the other doctors as well and have no complaints. Their office is run very smoothly and I have never had a long wait time. They try to keep on schedule as much as possible. Nurses and office staff are great too!

I really liked Dr. Nora Randles at Richardson Pediatrics. She's in her early 30's probably and had one young son when we were patients. (Insurance changed so we had to switch last year.) She works with Dr. Crow, who is male, older and also very nice. They are at Floyd and Arapaho.
