I'm looking into getting my eyes corrected. But, I don't know who to go to? Does anyone have any recommendations of businesses in Utah County or Salt Lake? or is it better to go with a Doctor? Please help?! thanks!

What can I do next?

Fred E. Clayson. He has an office in Ogden and in Salt Lake. He is the first person in Utah to do Lasik and he fixes EVERY body else's mistakes. I would NEVER go to anybody else. Don't trust your eyes to just anybody. He has all the latest technologies in lasik and he is also not a bad price. 5 years ago my husband had his done and I had mine done a year later. We lived in Florida while I had mine done and I traveled all the way back here to Utah just to have this guy do it. When it comes to your eyes, I think you should be willing to go where ever it takes. There were about 20 doctors in the USA that started doing lasik, and this is one of those guys. Don't go anywhere else. If your eyes are messed up it makes life near worthless. They are one of the best senses available.

I just had Lasik surgery in June and I love it! I was legally blind before and had an astigmatism in both eyes as well. Now I am 20/15! I went to TLC Lasik because they did my sister's as well five years ago and hers turned out so great (no dry eye or poor night vision). They are up in Salt Lake but I am able to do my follow up visits down in Orem where I live which is nice, they find a doctor near you. They were very nice and friendly and did a great job. Good luck!

Go to Dr. Hoopes (Hoopes Vision). My husband works in healthcare, and I'm telling you, if you don't go to someone good, it's very likely that you'll end up with more vision problems than you had previously.

My husband also got lasik from Dr. Hoopes and had a good experience. He might be more pricey than the cheap guys, but you pay for what you get and you don't want to take chances with your vision.

My husband (who's super picky and researches everything) went to Dr. Hoopes at Hoopes vision. He's very happy with his results and the treatment that he received. I agree with the others, make sure you're going to a real doctor who has a lot of experience. Sometimes people are drawn in by lower prices, but you get what you pay for! Your eyes and vision are definitely paying a little bit more to make sure nothing gets messed up. My husband actually was able to negotiate a little bit off the price at Hoopes. It was a few years ago, but I think he talked him down by about $150 per eye.

I went to Dr. Hoopes as well. I had 3 consultations with different Lasik Centers and I felt the most comfortable with Dr. Hoopes. They do a thorough examination/ consultation for free that took about two hours. The doctor actually comes in and answers any questions that you might have. I loved it.

Hoopes Vision. Just put on Forbes list as one of the 10 best lasik surgeons in the country.
