We are moving to the Blacklick/Gahanna area in August, and we are thinking of sending our son to preschool. I really want to homeschool him, but at the same time, he has SOOOO much energy and LOVES to be around other kids. It's so hard for me to entertain him all day (he doesn't nap so he's 'go go go all day long!') He's in a few classes right now and just loves them. SO I thought sending him to preschool for 2-3 days a week would be a good thing for him. Does anyone have any recommendations for any preschools in that area? I'm really clueless about preschool.....is it normally like 3 hours a day thing.....it's not all day is it? I should visit the schools now and reserve his spot now if this is what we decide to do, right? Don't they book up early? Thanks for all your help!

I have a few friends who send their preschoolers to Stoneybrooke Methodist in Gahanna and love it. I'd call ASAP as most preschool's application period is in the winter. Best of luck!!

Depending on what you are looking for- Goddard Schools have a great reputation and they offer differnt programs with educational classes. I am not sure if Primrose has schools in that area but they are also a good choice. It's worth the money you will spend. There is also a large community of people that home school in the area and you could be part of the group- I am not pushing a church here, but many of the people I met that home school went to Jersey Baptist which is close to Gahanna. Good luck!

Welcome to Gahanna/Blacklick. You will really enjoy the area. There are many pre-schools in Gahanna that are only 3 days a week. The problem is they fill up quick as registration has already started. My son went to Stonybrook Preschool. I would suggest you calling some of the schoolsto make sure registration has not closed. If you need more names and numbers please send me an e-mail and I will be more than glad to help you.

Hi,
I'm a mom living in Gahanna since 1997 and both of my boys, now 7 & 8&1/2 both went to Stonybrook preschool on Cherrybottom. My oldest, a july birthday, went there from the age of three til five, the last year was a pre-K class. And now he is excelling in 2nd grade! We only had wonderful experiences there! I will tell you there is usually a waiting list so don't put it off too long:)
Good Luck and hope you like Gahanna as much as we do!
