Hi! I live in Gahanna, near Easton, and all 3 of my kids attended Stonybrook Early Learning Center. It is located at Stonybrook Church on Cherrybottom Rd., but not affiliated with the church. I believe they have been around for 25-30 years and I loved them! My youngest is in kind., so it was only last year that he attended. Their price is reasonable-last year I believe it was $90 for 3 half days-that's the cost for the month. They have a very experienced staff, hardly no turnover and they always welcome new parents to tour their classrooms. Becky Kidwell is the Director and has been for at least 20 years. Good luck! Hi T. - I recommend Oakstone Academy in Westerville. Their preschool is EXCELLENT. Not only has my special needs child made lots of progress, but my typically developing child loves it and is learning a ton. The school is open Monday thru Friday and has full-time, part-time, before and after school programs. The cost for typically-developing peers is about half of what a Goddard school-type place was going to cost full-time for a month. The classrooms have a teacher and two aides, most of whom have their masters degrees or are in the process. The typically developing peers model typical behavior for the children on the spectrum without even knowing it. It's sort of my typical child's first service project. The teachers are wonderful and we've had a great time with the other families. Incidentally, you would likely have a hard time picking out the children on the spectrum from the typically developing children if you went to the classes. Their process really works out for everyone. If you are interested, you can get on the waiting list online at their website.

Hi T.. Our 3 year old goes to Little Lambs preschool in Westerville on State Street. He LOVES it and we have a wonderful teacher. I too went to the preschool fair and I felt connected to the coordinator as soon as I met her!
Good Luck!

My son (3 years old in September) attends the Westerville schools preschool at Wilder Elementary. It is an integrated preschool (there are typically developing kids alongside special needs children). The "typicals" serve as positive peer mentors for the special needs kids. It is reasonably priced (free for special needs kids!!) and is from 9-11:45 Mon-Thurs. I think they have it at every Westerville elementary school but he is at Wilder which is in the Sunbury Woods subdivision.

My 3yo DS goes to Central College Preschool 2 mornings a week and we are very happy there. We researched preschools via a preschool fair (put on by a mom's club but I can't remember which one) we attended last February at Grace Brethren Church in Worthington. There were lots of preschools there and it seemed to me the cost was pretty similar everywhere. We got a chart of all the preschools participating in the fair and their info (teacher/ student ratio, location, cost, guidelines, etc) and that helped a lot. You can also tour preschools in Jan/Feb.
