Mine took a very long time, like 5 or 6 months if not longer. I remember thinking that it would just never go away. Even when I lost all the weight and my body was pretty much back to normal the line was still there. However now my son is 18 months and I can't even remember when it went away but it is gone.

Hi M..
It took several months for my pregnancy line to disappear.
-------Sadly, it's taking MUCH longer for other pregnancy-related "side effects" to go away. Lol.
HTH!

It can easily take a year, so just give it time. But honestly, sometimes they don't go away completely. My youngest is almost ten, but I can still see my line. It's faint, but it's there. But I wear it as a badge of honor!

Hi M., I asked that question alot because my line was really dark. My baby is 8 months and my line is still here, but much, much lighter. My neighbors took a little over a year to vanish. So have hope, it will happen, just not very quickly.

Hi M.!-I don't have anything much different to say but here it goes...I have fair skin and my line didn't fully disapear for about 6 months with both my boys. It will fade more and more then finally you won't be able to see it. I have some friends that it was gone in 3 months and some a year. There isn't anything you can do to speed it up either, as far as i know. But don't worry, it will go away :)

Mine never got very dark (I'm very fair skinned), but it took a while. You'll notice that nothing is the same after having a baby (I know because I've had three), but they're so worth it that you'll learn to love your new body. Congratulations on your baby! :)

5 weeks?! Unfortunately that is going to take some time. Something like 6 months to a year if I remember correctly. You have to figure you had higher amounts of hormones in your system during your pregnancy whick created the line in the first place. So as your hormones return to normal levels, your line will fade as well.

I took mine at least 10 months to completely disappear with my second child. I thought it was strange that it took so long but oh well. I wouldn't worry about it. Some women don't get it at all.

I really do have the key to the nagging pain and sickness.
First, no sugar or fried food. Eat 10 times a day and
a hand full is enough. Always, no matter the time of day
eat what sounds good.
Have the father rub your lower back, upper back, stomach
and everything else as often as possible.
Your pain will disappear, your need for food will return and
over eating is worse than not eating. Take half your take
out food to go. Don't miss a meal time 7 - 11 - 4 & 8
with a snack like a food bar twice a day or a piece of fruit
or fruit and yogurt from Mc Donald's. You can turn this all
around. Try it... Purpleging

Hi M..
I'm 9 months postpartum and it's still slightly there, but it has faded a lot. I've been told and I've read that it can take up to a year for it to fade and it actually never really goes back to the way it was initially. I'm going to be honest and say that I was mortified when the line was still there and I still looked about six months pregnant for the first four months.
Don't stress too much about it. It just takes some time, but you're looking at several months versus just a few weeks.
Hope that clears things up!
Congratulations and welcome to motherhood!

Funny you ask that, I was noticing this morning that you can still see mine and my son is 3 yrs old. It's not dark, but still there. I believe it also depends on your skin coloring. My friend who is a true blond, had a very light line and it's gone now. So, it's normal and different for everyone. Don't worry. ;-)
