Please Help Me! What Kind of Jeans Do You Prefer for Your Toddler?

I am having a brand of toddler jeans manufactured for hard-to-fit toddlers, and I need to know if you like the plain blue jeans, like you find everywhere, or would you like say a cute patch on the jeans?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you so much, Everyone! I was a little surprised at the overwhelming response that everyone wanted plain. I like a little different, so that's why I thought maybe people would like a little change. When I see jeans that are a little different I would like to buy them if they fit, which they usually don't, and then I find a shirt or two that will go with it. But since everyone wants plain, that's what I will do at least for my first order, and then I may get bold. I want them to have a choice especially since they will fit!

I am still open for more responses! And please let me know if you would like to be notified when they are available!

Thanks again!

I like the idea of design. I also would like to see jeans that fit over cloth diapers!! That's my biggest problem. I don't know too much about the fit of girls' jeans...yet, my older girls are now teens and after 3 boys my girl is only 6 months old yet, but I know from sisters and friends that girl jeans are hard to fit because they are all made so low cut even for the toddlers!! Thanks

I like funky, fancy pants for my girls. My toddler is hard to fit as she is tall and slender. Everything that fits her waste and butt is too short! What body-type are you going for?

How about plain jeans...but with switchable patches that the toddler can pick and choose to put on his/her jeans? Not sure velcro would work the best, but why can't you have both?

There use to be a company that made toddler overalls that had a handle built right into the back of them. The company went out of business a few years back, but I'm keeping the overalls for any grand children I might have. They were perfect! You could pick child up by it if you needed to, or attach a leash when you went to the mall. Plain light or dark denim is the way to go. Something easily washable (toddlers are still in diapers), easy diaper access. You don't need to distract from the cuteness of the toddler with decorations or patches. The toddler is the star of the show. Make it so the legs are easy to roll up a few inches - parents like a product that will last through a growth spurt or two. Easy elastic waist - toddlers don't deal with buttons or zippers.

Gap Kids has the best Kids jeans!!! They are the only ones that fit my daughter. I know Old Navy is part of that company... but they don't even compair in fit!

I'm not a fan of patches, but I like my daughter to have all diffrent washes and fun pockets! Of course I am a Denim Fanatic!! :)

by the way if you are making your own jeans.... Deffinatly Tall and Slim, there arn't enough of those out there... which is why I go to Gap Kids/Baby Gap.

I LOVE GYMBOREE. They will have different things on their pants BUT then they have matching shirts, hats, jewlery, hair stuff, etc.

So, if you are creating a WHOLE line, then make some with embellishments. IF you are only creating JEANS, stick with plain or very neutral emelishments (like "diamond" rhinestone heart or something that can match easily). I will NOT buy a pair a jeans with embellishments at one store if I can not find something that will match it there also. I don't want to take it home and then never put them on the kids because I don't have a top to match......

I prefer plain ones...unless the patch is also made of denim. When can we see or shop for these new jeans? My son is very hard to fit in jeans...he's on the "fluffy" side so jeans are usually too tight and restricting for him. I hope you make something along those lines of hard-to-fit toddlers. :)

I think plain blue jeans for boys 2 and older are better. Jeans with a patch would be cute for younger boys and girls age infant to maybe 4. Hope that helps...

I prefer the plain ones because you can mix and match them much, much easier than ones that have certain colors in them. My daughter does have one pair of jeans that has some patches on them- pink and a few other colors- they're cute, and she wears them often, but most of the time I tend to buy the plain jeans because otherwise she has a ton of shirts that barely get worn because they don't go with anything.

I'm thinking plain jeans as well, especially for boys. I have a TERRIBLE time finding jeans that fit my son who is husky. They don't start the Husky size at JC Pennys until size 4, which is now fits into, but before that I had talked to MANY stay at home moms that were in the same boat as me..just couldn't find jeans that would fit. If it fit over the belly is was WAY to long in the lets, if it fit in the lets it was WAY to tight around the belly..UGH!! I also like the buttons on the inside where you can make the jeans tighter, instead of having to use a belt. I think some sort of Husky jeans for sizes smaller than 4 would be good. My son had to live in sweat pants for the first 2 yr.s of his life, not that he minded, but there were times I sure did..like church! :)

plain jeans are fine. Patchwork or a design on the jeans are nice as long as the designs arent on the back pockets or wriiten on the back pockets. It amazes me how i can buy my niece who is two the same looking jeans i would buy myself and im 23. Let kids be kids Good LUck with your brand.

Well a lot of stores carry great jeans that are plain. It may be hard to compete with Crazy8, Gap, Old Navy. For that reason a cute patch or embellishment might be enough to set you apart. Something simple though.

I don't like cute patches on the jeans just my opinion. I like plain bootleg or flare cut jeans for my daughter. I like them plain so that they easily go with any shirt. Now I said I wouldn't like a cute patch but I wouldn't mind a cute logo or brand name. I love how Gap uses a little teddy bear on their clothing it's cute but not to much. I have bought my kids Tommy or Polo Jeans with a logo. I just don't like the jeans with flowers and junk on them.

Plain... and also a few different shades of denim in the line(light, dark, semi worn looking). Different shades are nice b/c sometimes you want a pair that looks casual and sometimes you want a darker pair for a fancier look. Good luck with your line.

I love plain- and LOVE Old Navy/Gap. I prefer Old Navy for their plain ones- and don't like doing much for patches, designs until they're 2 or 3. I think they can be a little less comfortable with all that "stuff" on them, and my twins (17 months old) still nap twice/day.
