I am a stay at home mom looking for a playgroup for my 18 month old son. We moved here from Colorado last Novemeber and I'm having a hard time meeting other moms that want to get out and play. I'd love to get a group together where our kids can play and the moms can connect once a week.

I know it's been a while since you posted your question, but I wanted to reply anyway. My name is K. Cooper and I am starting up a Child Development Center in San Marcos that will offer multiple services. Mommy and Me classes, a fitness based preschool, private lessons for special needs children, and tumbling classes. We hope to open the center in the middle of October and are looking for moms with active children to offer a free class to so that we can get people excited about the programs that are new to the area. I would contact the moms club and get involved with them. Most have age-appropriate playgroups, as well as organized outings/activities (moms and tots), and a moms night out. You need to find out which chapter you would belong to (they usually zone by area)- and you can do that by going to www.momsclub.org Dont go to the chapter link (that's only for the chapters that have websites) its best to email them (they have a form on the site)- and they are usually pretty good about getting you a contact name and number quickly.
