Have you checked into ECFE classes? Each school district should send out a catalog, otherwise you can find them online, but I just started doing them with my soon-to-be 3 year old and we both love them. They have them for all ages. It's a great way to meet other moms in the area and also good for the kids to interact with others. Once they get old enough (I think it's about 2), you actually separate for part of the class time, so it's a great way for you to get some free time as well and be with other adults. They even have childcare, so I can drop my 1 year old off. It does cost money though, but they go on a sliding scale according to your income, so that might help if you didn't want to pay. I definately recommend it when they get older since I'm a stay at home mom too, it's great for them to get out and have to learn to listen to other adults. My daughter loves it and gives me a kiss when I leave and doesn't even care.
