I took my son to Dr. Strand on a recommendation from a friend. It wasn't for the reason you need are taking your son, but I thought he was a fantastic doctor.
Hi moms,
My 10 year old son is still wetting the bed and we have just finished trying DDVAP (I think that is correct) and it did not help so the next step is to visit urologist.
My Dr recommended Dr Baker or Dr Strand. Has anyone ever used either of these or another Dr you could recommend in Plano/Frisco area?
Or, any help from anyone that has had a child this old still wetting the bed would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Thank you all. We went to see Mrs Jackson at Dr. Strands office and loved her!

The Urology clinic at the new Childrens Hospital in @lano on Legacy is the BEST! My son is a patient and we are very pleased!!
I'd recommend North Texas Pediatric Urology - http://www.urologyclinics.com. Peggy Jackson is their nurse practitioner - she is great!
Good luck!
It is not unusual for a 10 year old boy to wet the bed. Do not be supprized if he ends up having a sleep study done in order to get the answer. Also your husband may not admit to it but he could have still been wetting the bed at 10 years old it tends to run in familys. Does he sleep walk or talk in his sleep?
Childrens Medical Center Dallas is the best place to go for a sleep study.

I do not have that problem but I wish you luck. I have taken my son to see a pediatric urologist in the professional building at Medical Center of Plano. They were wonderful. I am sorry I dont remember the name but they were the only group there and so they should not be hard to find. I only went the one time last summer and they did a minor office procedure and we had no need to go back, as of yet.
**UPDATE
its the group Sara S recommended...
Good Luck ;)
Yes...yes...Dr. Strand is the best. His waiting room is always full, so plan on spending a while at his office. But he has been GREAT to my daughter.
10 y/o is not terribly uncommon to still have this issue, IMO. Especially if they struggle with attentional issues. Cut drinking off 2 hours before bedtime. Go to bathroom before bed. Wake them up to go potty at about midnight.
