Its about time to find out why my 7 year old boy can not keep his pants dry. I was suppose to take him in a year ago after my family pediatrician said it sounded like I have tried everything possible to help him. I did my research on the list of Drs my insurance would cover and was shocked to read such frighting reviews. I reread some old reviews and read new ones that reconfirmed my reasons to wait for a good referral. My Dr said she knew nothing about the ones on my list.
I am looking for a pediatric urologist that can tell me why my son is still dribbling in his pants during the day and is soaking his diaper at night. I will drive from 75028 to about anywhere that is a 30 miles radius.
Any suggestions would be wonderful to hear/read.

What can I do next?

we have the same problem... my son is 10, I'm looking for a Dr also, but I do NOT like Dr Strand in Plano, we had a terrible experience with his office staff and correct record keeping. and his explanation for us was that my son would stop when he wanted to and that it was all up to him. I had to call the nurses there for follow up and three times they had miss information on my sons medical information and they were telling me to do things the Dr didn't tell me to do and when I questioned them about it I discovered that they had inaccurate info in his file and that the info from the last appointment I had was not in the file, six months after that appointment, it still had not been updated correctly.

I went to another Dr in Dallas area that was good we solved the night time wetting issues, he recommended that we use a wetting alarm, which we did and it worked great, but things got busy and we haven't gone back, partly because it is so far away. I thought it would get better on it's own, but 3 years later is hasn't, and we are looking for someone also.

I would love to talk with you, I hope you don't mind if I MP you. we can swap stories, I'd be glad to share what I have learned about the bed wetting alarm that made it so much easier.

We use Dr. William Strand in Plano. Our first experience was at Children's Hospital and I was not remotely impressed. I like Dr Strand and I don't like most doctors.

Hi, there - I recommend the doctors at Urology Associates of North Texas - North Texas Center for Pediatric Urology . The office staff is wonderful, and they have always been accommodating when it comes to scheduling an appointment. The pediatric specialists are Dr. Kaye, Dr. Pugach, Dr. Pinto, and Dr. Bright. Their number is ###-###-####. Good luck.

My son goes to Dr. Snodgrass in Plano for another problem. I had talked to him about potty issues before and he suggested a child Timex watch with an alarm to help remind him to go. I don't suggest Dr. Strand since we had problems with him and the nurses.
