Hi. Any reommendations for pediatric dentists in the Chandler area? My 15 month old does not have any dental problems, but I heard its a good idea to go for a check up at 1.

I took my twin girls to Kids Dental Center at 2900 W. Ray Road and was very pleased with their professionalism and care. You can check out their website at www.kidsdentalcenter.com.
Chandler Pediatric Dentistry-they are at Dobson and Frye. I love them and so do my kids. The dentist is Brian Allmendinger. Kid friendly environment and staff. I highly recommend them.
Hi, My daughter has had a lot of dental work done. She was 16 months when she got her first cavity (long story). Anyways, I take her to Arizona Pediatric dentistry in Chandler, right by the Chandler reg hospital. We see Dr. Kapur. He is really thorough. I take her closer to where I live now in Gilbert (growing Grins). I love the dentist. She is really calming and her office is really clean as well. they let me lay in the chair with my daughter on my lap while they did her cleaning. I heard both that you take your child at three and at one. both of the dentists that I have gone to say you take them as soon as they get teeth, by the age of one. I took my younger daughter at about 18 months and she did great.
We go to Dr. Allmendinger. He's very good with all 3 of my children. Under age 3 they don't usually clean their teeth, just look around and get them used to chair and environment. We've been patients since my oldest was 4 (he's 8 1/2 now). My youngest child is almost 3 and she's been hopping up in the chair after her brothers since she was about 18 months. He's located near Chandler Regional Hospital ###-###-####
Hi A.,
We go to a dentist that takes in kids. He's a young guy who has 3 young kids. His name is Kelly Wettstein and he's at the corner of Riggs and Cooper. I"ll get his number later.

I go to Growing Grins Pediatric Dentistry. The staff there is amazing. They are not in Chandler though, (they are on the Gilbert/Chandler border). The office is on Higley & Chandler Heights. They are well worth the drive if you decide to go. I took my son for a check up at 1 and they were so patient with him (he was a bit scared). Each chair has a TV connected to it and they turn a movie on as soon as they are brought back so they can feel relaxed (and distracted) before anything even happens. Their address is 3336 E. Chandler Heights Rd. Ste 130 Gilbert, AZ 85297 ###-###-####. Good Luck!
I'm not sure of any in Chandler, but I worked in a dentist office for a while and really a child doesn't need to see a dentist until they are 4yo for their first cleaning. Unless there are obvious signs of decay on a childs teeth before then. I took my first child to one of those visits before I knew any better, spent $60 at the time for the dentist to come in, stick his finger inside my sons mouth and say "everything looks great." My advice, just save your money.
I don't know if you definitely want to stick to Chandler, but we like Dr. Ball, who is in Mesa near Dobson and Guadelupe, not far from Chandler.
I have a 9 year old boy and a 2 year old boy. I was going to Chandler Pediatric Dentistry with Dr. Allmendinger. He is located at 655 S. Dobson Rd. and his number is ###-###-####. It is a really nice place with a very caring staff. We just moved recently to East Mesa and I decided to get a dentist a little closer to us. We switched over to Dr. Johnson with the East Valley Pediatric Dentistry. They are located on Higley just south of the 202 at 1355 S. Higley Rd. and can be contacted at ###-###-####. They also have a website which is www.kidstoothdr.com. I'm actually glad we switched over. There is nothing wrong with Dr. Allmendinger or his staff at all. I just felt more relaxed and my children love the staff and office at Dr. Johnson's place. They have video games and little kids toys everywhere that they can play with. They have a little movie theater in the lobby. They were given shirts and each time they come back with their shirts on they get extra coins that they can use to purchase little toys out of gumball machines. It is just a really neat place to go and my boys get excited when I tell them they have a dentist appointment coming up. If you can do just a little bit more driving Dr. Johnson's office and staff are worth it. Good luck!
I work in the dental field. I think that going at the age of one is a bit premature. I would wait until about 3 to go. If you are doing your part and introducing oral hygiene to your child (they make special brushes and cleaners for babies), then at the age of three there should not be any cavities or things to worry about. Definately see a pedodontist, as they are more equipt to handle the kids that young. Starting at 3 gives the child the chance to get used to having someone "counting their teeth" on a regular basis. Then in the future there will be less anxiety when problems do arise. My boys go to Brian Allmendinger in chandler, near the hospital. He and his staff are wonderful with children of all ages. The orthodontist that I work for refers all of our young patients to Dr. Brian...
Good luck in your search.
