Hello ladies and Happy New Year!
Please offer me some advice as to where I can have a birthday party for our daughter who will be 3 in February. We will have approximately 10-15 little ones and their ages range from 2-7. The last couple of years we had the party in our home, but now that we have more little ones plus their parents we need a place where the kids can run and be free and have a place to play and explore.

I would check your local gymnastics place or park district. We live in Barrington, which is a bit far from you, but the place where my daughter takes gymnastics (Kids in Action) does birthday parties. They have people that organize it so you're not doing the entertaining and we had kids from age 3 to age 11 that all had a blast.
Good luck!

Hi E.,

Happy New Year to you too!

Check out www.kidwinks.com. There is a section called "Services" (there's a tab at the top of the page to click on) that has birthday party places. Just look at the categories on the left, and you'll find a category for Party, which includes subcategories for party entertainers, party inflatables, and party places. Click again on "party places" to narrow down to only places that have parties. Here's the link if you want to go there directly:

If you become a member of kidwinks (which is free), you can sort these results in order of distance from your home.

Good luck!

E.,
I am a birthday party planner (pieceofcakebday.com). I would suggest a park district room (most reasonably priced). I also use a local church (north side of Chicago) that has two playrooms and a small gym.
If you have a larger budget Pump it Up , Kohl's Museum in Glenview are good options. They appeal to all ages.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.
Good Luck!

We did our 3 year olds party at North Beach on North and Sheffield. It an indoor volleyball place for adults but it was perfectly cute for all the kids we had. They offer a bounce house or bounce obsticle course and you can have an activity of digging in the sand for treasures. We did a dinosaur theme so we called it a dinosaur dig. We did a combo party with another little girl so it ended up being pretty reasonable. They have a menu and the pizza was great. Another bonus was that they have a bar so a few of our guests enjoyed bloody mary's. I think it would be a great place to bridge the gap between the 3 and 7 year olds.

Happy Birthday Ariana! I have not yet tried this place but have heard good things about it - Smarty Party, in Roscoe Village at 1846 W. Belmont. They do classes and camps for kids but also specialize in birthday parties. Not sure about pricing or how quickly they fill up, but maybe worth a look.

I would try a gymnastics place like IGI (Illinois Gymnastics Institute) in Westmont.

It may be cliche but we did GYMBOREE for our daughter's 3rd birthday (she 3.5 now) and she LOVED it. She still talks about it and I feel like it was one that will go down in history! They do everything - all you have to do is order food to be delivered and goody bags (or pay them to do it). Its also good for the age range you're looking to entertain. Good luck!
