What about BounceTown in Oswego? I have never been there but I hear its fun. You can reserve a time slot for the bday party so that the 3yr olds don't get stomped on by older kids. Plus they'll wear themselves out for a good nap afterwards. Good Luck planning!

Try the Fox Valley Park District in Aurora. They have many different themes for kids' parties, including Dinosaur, Gymnastics, Sports, etc.

They have three main facilities (Vaughn on Indian Trail, Prisco and Eola). Probably Eola would be close if you are close to Naperville. I've always been impressed with their programs and they provide things for your parties so I would guess they are well planned and organized.

Airtastic in Aurora/Oswego is a one of those indoor bounce places. Don't know how much they cost, but my son loves it there (he's 4).

I have a great idea--how about a quaint little get together at your house? I guess I just wanted you and all the other moms out there to know that it IS OK to just have a nice little birthday party at your place and there are actually a bunch of us out there who still do it! Kids are easy to please. If there is this much hoopla EVERY year when they are small and easy to please, I wonder how hard it will be to please them when they are teens?!! Just a thought.... I realize avoiding the stress of having to clean your house before and after a big party are also motivations for these types of parties! Hope you find a solution that pleases you. ;)

Try pump it up in Lisle. It is full of inflatables your son may enjoy. My son LOVED IT.

I do agree that it would be totally fine to have a party at your house. We did that for my son's birthday and the kids all had a great time. We did the old fashioned games, a craft that went w/the theme of the party. If you want to do it out of the home you could do My Gym, Depending how soon it is Morton Arboretum, and a PP suggested All Aboard Diner on 75th St in DG. They have a website and the parties are pretty reasonable.

If you want to go a bit, there's a great restaurant in Downers Grove called All Aboard if he likes trains, they have a small party room. Also check out your local Park District they sometime offer parties.

MONKEY JOE'S. This is the best place to have a birthday party for any age kids. Check out there website. monkeyjoes.com The one I go to is on Schmale & Geneva Rd. in Wheaton. I believe they may have one closer to you. Both of my kids birthday's were there. I love it. They do everything for you and it is a lot of fun for the kids. Also one more thing. It is very clean. Just read that he doesn't like inflatables. Sorry. How about McDonald's playland or Brunswick Zone? Good luck.
