Email me at ____@____.com do pageants and I have a dress for the 2 year old. I can help you out with all the other stuff. DO NOT put your daughter in a flower girl dress for high glitz.
Hi Ladies,
I know people feel all kinds of ways on pageants but I am going to let my daughters enter a high glitz pageant. We have talked all about it and they really know they are just entering it to do something fun and get dressed up.
My question is this. I have 5 daughters and obviously that alone lets you know I can't be all into the winning (because of the money it cost), but I do like to do things right. We have been lucky enough that someone is actually sponsoring ALL of them; otherwsie they wouldn't even being doing it in the first place.
It is a high glitz pageant and I know they will need the sparkly, frilly, cupcake dress. Does anyone know where I can find these really cheap in this area? Or would any one be willing to let us borrow theirs and I would even pay to rent them or borrow? I would be so grateful. I can't even imagine buying these dresses for each one of them but don't want them to feel out of place either. Any advice on a high glitz pageant or about dresses would be great. I really understand points from both vies on pageants so I really don't want to get into that. I am just looking for advice on actually finding some cheap dresses that are the right style or any other advice.
Their ages are:
twin 6 year olds
4 year old
2 year old
6 months.

I was in Kid to Kid Resale shop the other day and saw some pretty pageant dresses. Also, you could put an ad on Craigslist for WANTED items. You can also sign up for Freecycle.org in your city and then ask for someone to give them to you. You might be pleasantly surprised with what you get. Good luck! B. P.
I would recommend renting dresses until you are sure you want to make the investment for custom dresses. Certainly look around for a 'good deal' and perhaps even a used dress. Fit & color are key. Many people spend hundreds, if not thousands of dollars on dresses. If you are interested in a pageant that goes for a more natural look, look into the Cinderella & International Girl systems.
This is the website you need, the prices there are abour half for the same dress anywhere else. good luck
I'm a photographer of a pageant here in Keller, so I'm not sure of what the girls wear there is what you're looking for, but I'd check ebay. If you search for flower girl dresses, you'll find some very reasonable pricing (I've heard that some of our girls spend in the hundreds).
Good luck!

Check the Bridal Shop's like David's Bridal. I went in there a few years ago looking for a formal dress for an event I was attending. I found a beautiful RED evening gown for $50 (Retailed for $600) on their clearance rack. I'm sure this was part of a sale they had going on and I was purchasing in early March....
Depending on when you need the dresses, I would check Ebay. They have all kinds of pageant dresses on there! Hope this helps.
