Nutrizac or Any Type of Natural Supplement for Fatigue and Mild Depression

Has anyone used this supplement to combat fatigue and mild depression? I've heard lots of good things about it, I prefer to do natural stuff rather than rx drugs for my fatigue and mild depression. I've tried one anti dep already and I was a zombie on it and had trouble sleeping and it was the lowest dosage (zoloft 25 mg). My depression is very mild so I think natural supplement will suit me better. I always seems to have a horrible reaction to any rx I take so I prefer to try natural supplements first. Thanks for your input!

What can I do next?

I would try B-complex 1 capsule twice a day. Take just before eating and never take vitamins with caffeine. St. John's Wort works well for mild depression. Hope this helps.

I take 2 Omega 3,6,9 capsules every day and a multivitamin. That really knocks out any vitamin and mineral deficiency that may be present that is causing the depression.

As for fatigue, exercise may help you as well as a healthy diet with more fruits, veggies and whole grains. Go to the my food guide pyramid site and you can see what you should be eating for your height, weight and lifestyle.

i have had fatigue because my triglycerides where high and it was most definitely related to my diet!

I think st. johns wart is supposed to be good. I would say for mild depression try some exercise. they release natural endorphins and that in itself may make you feel better. Good luck.

I think if you are fighting depression you should seek some professional help. They can help you determine what is the best option for you. Zoloft was enormously helpful to me, and I had no noticeable side effects with it. But depression and fatigue can be caused by so many, many things, that you really need professional help to figure it out.

I do think that Fish Oil, Vitamin D, and B Complex can be helpful, and, taken in reasonable quantities, are at least not going to do you any harm. But, seriously, don't let depression rob you of your life-- get some help.

I take Phytisone. I have fibromyalgia and this has helped some. Also, a good quality fish oil. My dr. also recommended Somnolin from Metagenics for depression but I ended up needing to take Zoloft b.c my anxiety was out of control so I didn't take the Somnolin.

I am on Celexa (generic name is Citalopram) and it works wonders for me; it is very mild...sometimes you have to try a few different meds before you find one that works for you. Please follow whatever your doctors advice is, I know first-hand that depression can get out of hand if left untreated. Good luck to you!

I'm going to have to disagree that prescription products are harsh chemicals. Chances are, they're more regulated and have stricter safety monitoring than any naturally based product on the market.

Most natural products are NOT FDA approved nor are their ingredients registered with the FDA. So, companies that market them often have little scientific or clinical evidence to support their claims, and there's often no recourse if serious side effects work.

I'm a long time sufferer of depression and anxiety. I've taken medications. I just had to go through almost all of them before I found the right one - for me it was Prozac. But, each person will respond differently, so don't discount them all based upon one experience.

After I finished chemo, my anxiety was at a heightened state. I opted not to take medications and sought counseling instead. It's probably the most natural, and for me, it got to the root of the behavioral issues instead of the physiological issues.

Be cautious if you choose any natural supplements. Unless you can find documented evidence on ClinicalTrials.gov, NIH.gov or FDA.gov, I'd really question the ability of the supplement to help balance the hormones (serotonin and norepinephrine) that are known to trigger most depressions and anxiety-related disorders.

Good luck. I hope you feel well again soon.

Go to www.mylifeforce.net/thewaytowellness and click on the "Have you had your sea veggies today?" or email me from the site where you see my photo.
