Number of Days in Each Disney World Park?

If we go ten days and stay in a Disney hotel, will 3 Magic Kingdom, 2 Epcot, 2 Animal Kingdom, 1 Hollywood Studios, and 1/2 Downtown Disney be enough? We have park hoppers and don't want to do the water parks since we have the pool hotel. We are doing nonDisney the next week including Sea World, ropes courses, and Discovery Cove.

Kids will be 10,9, and 5. We plan to rest around 2-5 and go in June. We have a wheelchair user so we will be getting to the park at 11 probally. We have to book the dining reservations so we have to plan.

If kids don't like scary rides, is Universal worth doing?

What can I do next?

Why not do the park hopper pass vs. individual tickets? The park hopper will allow you to hop around to all the parks throughout the day so if you get bored at one you can hop the monorail and go to another. But by adding up what you already have, it's 8 1/2 days worth so if you are content lounging by the pool or visiting other resorts just to see them for the other day and a halfs worth, then you'll have plenty to do for what you have.

We did 10 days of Disney but stayed off-property (rented a house with a pool). We did 2 full days of MK plus 1 evening (after spending the day at Sea World and still having 1 more day left on our passes), 2 days at AK, 1 day at Hollywood Studios, and 1 day at Epcot (you could easily do 2 at Epcot, and spend 1 of those days in the World Showcase, but the rest of my family was not as interested). The other 2 days my husband and stepsons (older teens) went to Universal and I stayed back with our daughter just to have a day off and hang around the pool.

Your schedule sounds fine, it just depends at what pace you go at while visiting the parks. Remember that without a park hopper pass, you can only visit one park per day - so then you have to plan accordingly (i.e. Fantasmic, the nighttime show at Hollywood Studios might only be done certain nights, so you would have to do Hollywood Studios that day to see the show at night). With a park hopper pass, you could do one park during the day and a different one at night, so it does give you more flexibility.

You may find one day in Animal Kingdom to be enough. I'd leave that second AK day open and maybe visit Typhoon Lagoon (my fave Disney waterpark) or Blizzard Beach. Or you may find 2 in Magic Kingdom is enough. It depends on how long you plan to spend in the park each day. You could do a non-park down day in the middle of your vacation to sleep in, just lounge at your resort, and catch and/or catch an evening show.

How old are the kids and what time of year are you going. 10 days, IMO, is
a long time to be at Disney. However, again, it depends on the ages of kids.
I could give you a bit more info if those two questions were answered.

Depends on your family and your kids. You don't actually HAVE to decide ahead of time what you'll do. We went last year for 6 days, but took a couple of park free days in the middle to regroup. DS didn't really relax and enjoy Magic Kingdom until day 3 because it was so overstimulating for him. We did the 3 at MK plus one night we didn't go over until fireworks, 1 Hollywood Studios, a morning at Downtown Disney, a morning at Epcot and that was it. Never made it to Animal Kingdom.

I might have liked one more day at MK, a full day at Epcot and would like to get to AK.

Whatever you do, relax and have fun. There are no points for getting to everything if you make yourself crazy in the process.

It helps to know the ages of your kids as well as the time of year you are going.

When i do disney, I find it works best for my family to do a day off/relax for every 2-3 days in the parks. I've only ever needed 1 day at animal kingdom. I make sure to get there at opening and stay until closing (which is early in relation to the other parks) and I can easily get in everything there. I usually need 2 days at hollywood studios to get it all in because of all the shows and timing them. However, there are not as many rides and if your family doesn't enjoy shoes and want to see them all, then 1 day will be fine.

I would do just one day at Animal Kingdom, it is a smaller park like Hollywood Studios. Universal is great for big kids (teens), they only have a few rides for the little ones (there are three rides in Dr. Seuss land). There is also Ripley's Believe it or not Museum on International Dr, Medieval Times in Kissimmee and some other small sites (they are not all day visits though). If you are going to be here in June I would say spend at least one day at the hotel pool, it gets really hot here by then.

2 full days at magic kingdom and 2 days at epcot. you won't need more than maybe 6 hours at animal kingdom. hollywood studios is fun but a day is plenty and downtown disney can be done in about 4 or 5 hours. how old are your children. that will make a huge difference in how much time you spend in anyone spot. the younger they are the more time at magic kingdom.

typhoon lagoon is great. and make sure you allow time for other things not just disney if you have that much time. we always make the trek over to old town. its a definite tourist trap but a fun afternoon.

my kids like to just laze by the pool also. if you happen to stay at pop century there is a laundry area right on the edge of the pool. we took the kids to the pool in the afternoons and a couple of days I threw in some laundry.
