You can try Stoneham Pediatrics ###-###-####). We just switched and I feel very at home there. Only downfall is that the wait sometimes can be long.
I have a one year old boy. We've been going to Pediatric Health Care Associates at their Peabody office. We haven't had any bad experiences but I haven't felt particularly at home there either. We've had a few sick visits and always see a different doctor and I feel as though none of them will ever really know us. We've seen Dr. Dunau (sp?) the most often and I trust her medical judgement but just don't feel the connection I'd like. Thoughts? Advice? I'm more than willing to change practicies entirely but would also like feedback on who you've seen in the PCHA practice... THANK YOU! :-)

I'm not sure how close Burlington is to you or if you can go to the HVMA office (Harvard Vanguard Medical Assoc), but I just found out today (much to my dismay) that my pediatrician is transferring to the HVMA Burlington office in July 2009. My partner and I relly like him. He has twin boys almost 21 months old and is just a really nice guy. Good luck with your search.
Peace,
S.
I go there as well and I actually went there as a child myself (my kids have the same pediatrician that I had as a child). It's hard to see the same doctor all the time, especially for sick visits, but they are all very good. I understand about not having a connection with Dr. Dunau. (We've seen her as well and I think she is just has a cut and dry persona.) I really like Dr. Diamond and Dr. Crowley, and Dr. Kanarek is our doctor (but he's only there 2 days a week, so he's pretty booked.) For well visits, I always book with Dr. Kanarek, so he knows us best. I like the fact that they have evening and weekend hours, but it is a bigger practice and they have lots of doctors and patients so I can see how you might feel that way.
Hi S.,
I have been going to PHCA for 8 years. I only go to Peabody for night or weekend visits. I have liked everybody I have seen, but I feel much more comfortable in the Reading office. We see Dr.Natale in Reading. He is fantastic. I know what you mean about the doctor knowing your kids. I think that you should try one of their other locations. They also have a Melrose location and there are some really good docs their as well. I know that I have gone to their Lynn location to see Dr.Natale in the past, not sure if it's still open.
My chlldren have been going to PHCA for years. I have predominantly seen Dr. Cuneo, Dr. Pergiment, Dr. Davis. We have gone to the Peabody facility on occasion, but we predominantly go to the Salem office. When Salem opened, it was more quiet there. It quickly changed, but we have kept going there. I try to have my daughter with special needs seen by Dr. Cuneo. He seems to know her best and her medical issues. If he is in Peabody that day, we go to Peabody. If he is in Salem, then we go to Salem.
Hi,
My 3 year old sees Dr. Diamond. My hubby was hesitant at first with her as she has no children, but she has been right on target with us on everything. I like the office(hours, location) but I hate when you call and you have to leave a voicemail and they can take up to 2 hours to call you back. I know some offices have a live person anwser the phone which is always a plus.
My DD (6) sees Dr. Diamond, my 7 yr old son sees Dr. Kanarek. I agree - it is very impersonal and cool there. I get very annoyed with long waits for well visits in the wait room, and then they make us sit in the exam room for 20-30 minutes before the doc comes in - ridiculous! I would switch if anyone out there has recommendations for better local practices. It used to be a nice, cozy family practice in the West Peabody location before they moved to Centennial Dr and got too big for their britches!!
Hi S.,
Probably not in your area, but I live in North Reading and I travel to Medford Pediatrics for my girls healthcare. My oldest is now 30 years old and I have raised all four of my children with Medford Pedi. When we moved to North Reading eight years ago, I had a 20 month old and I was pregnant. I tried a couple of new pediatric practices which were closer, but like you I never really connected so I went back to Medford Pediatrics (now known as the Pediatric Associates of Medford I think) They have several different Physicans all except one I like. Currently my girls see Dr. Donald Delollis and we love him. His wife also works with Medford Pedi though I have not had her. Dr. Levine is another doctor who I met when my daughter was hospitalized. (he was on call) He was very nice. As a nurse, my standards are different than many and my need for information is different too. The nurses at this practice are wonderful too. especially Claire who has been there almost as long as I have been going. Sick visits are always easy to get and I always get a quick call back on questions. Their number is ###-###-####.

Hi S.,
Garden City Pediatric in Beverly (across from the hospital) has a number of excellent doctors. We see Dr. Sleeper and my DS loves him. The proximity to the hospital is convenient for lab work, their hours are great, and we've never had to wait more than 15 minutes. Dr. Sleeper also worked with me to develop a more flexible vaccination schedule for my son.
Good luck!
