Hi,
I am a young mom who is moving to Knoxville for graduate school with my Husband and son. My son will need his 15 month vaccinations and check-up shortly after we move in a couple weeks and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about Pediatric or Family doctor's in the area.
Thanks!
Hello,
Thanks for all are great tips. We ended up going with the Knoxville Pediatrics because of how close they are to me and his pre-school during the day. We had a good first experience so I think we will stick with them. We have yet to find a Family doctor for the me and my husband but luckily that has not be an issue yet. * knock on wood*.
Thanks again!

Hi T., I moved to Knoxville about a year ago with my husband. We have a daughter who is just about 19 months. We take her to Knoxville Pediatrics. They have several locations in Knoxville. The doctor we go to is Cameron Blevins in the Farragut office. He is wonderful. My nephew also goes to him. The number is ###-###-####. I highly recommend him. Good luck.

We have used Trinity Medical Associates since we moved to Knoxville three years ago. They are a family practice with specialized pediatricians on staff as well. It was recommended to me by my neighbor and we love them! Dr. Mark McColl is our pediatrician for our three children, ages 5, 3 and 2 weeks old. They are located in the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center at Pellissippi and Kingston Pike (Farragut area). Phone is ###-###-####.
Good Luck!

I use Knoxville Pediatric Associates they have two locations and are open on Saturdays and Sundays if your little one gets sick. They are a large group so you will see all of them. I didn't like that at first but they are all really nice. I have been very happy with them. If your child gets sick they will always get them in that day. The number is ###-###-####.
Hey T.!
I take my son to Dr. Neil Feld at Tots and Teens Pediatrics. They have two offices, one in North Knoxville off of Emory Road (near St Marys North) and the other off of Broadway (near the original St Marys). Dr. Feld is the only doctor there so we always see him. He has a nurse practicioner who is also great. We met Dr. Feld at one of the pre-birthing classes we attended at St. Marys before our son was born. He gave a talk about finding a pediatrician who is right for you. We were very impressed with him and went to his office and interviewed him before making our choice. I don't believe their office is open on the weekends but he gave us his cell phone number/pager in case of an emergency. I have used it once when my son got sick on the weekend. He responded immediately and was very helpful. I found their web site online: http://ttpeds.com/ (not a lot of useful information here other than address and phone numbers).
Hope your move goes well!

Hi, I have 2 daughters 5 & 7 and I've been taking them to Black and Benton Pediatrics since they were born. Their office is right off of broadway and they are absolutely wonderful! Anytime one of them has been sick they have gotten them in to be seen, even if you call in the middle of the night with any concerns they have always called back within 10 minutes.
I sort of agree with the last response. We also go to Children's Faith Pediatric...however, we see Dr. Perry who we LOVE. I am actually not as big a fan of Dr. Glover. However, Dr. Perry came to the hospital and sat with my son until he was admitted for pneumonia on his DAY OFF and when he WASN'T on call. Don't know too many pediatricians who would do that anymore!!! Also, the office staff treats everyone like family and you can always call with questions. The Doctors carry a cell phone when they're on call and answer themselves after hours. We've moved over 6 times and we have 5 kids so we've seen a bunch of pediatricians and Dr. Perry and staff blow the others away! Hope that helps, good luck, keep us updated!!
P.S.Children's Faith is off Northshore on the west side just in case you don't end up living near there.
I haven't been on in awhile, but have a great recommendation for both if it's not too late!
Good luck with your move! And, welcome to Knoxville! My family and I have been here for about 9 years, and we have two small children (a little boy who is almost three and a half, and a little girl who is 18 months). We love it here ... there's lots to do, and it's a great family-friendly city!
Both my children go to Dr. Richard Glover, and have since birth. He is a pediatric physician with Children's Faith Pediatrics. Phone is ###-###-####. He and the other physician who practices there (Dr. David Perry) are both very nice, thorough, quick to get your children seen (sick or well visits) and we love it there ... the office staff is also fabulous! More contact info. is online at http://www.etch.com/physicians3.cfm?practice=CFPE.
Again, best of luck to you and your family with your move! Feel free to contact me if you have any other questions or have anything else I might be able to help you find. ;)
My 8 year old and 5 year old daughters go to Dr. Lisa Padgett at Knoxville Pediatric Associates on Weisgarber and have since they were born. She is wonderful!! She is young (late 30's or early 40's maybe) and used to work in the ER at Children's Hospital. The other doctors we have occassionally seen in the practice are also wonderful. Good luck!
T.,
I have been taking my daughter to Dr. Stephanie Shults since she was born. She's almost 7 now. She has a small office with several nurse practitioners that help her out, and I like them too. The office is very child friendly, and they have never turned me down when I've asked if they could squeeze my child in that same day. The Dr. may see her that day or a practitioner may in those cases, but they don't put me off for another day or two like some offices. As for regular appointments Dr. Shults always sees her. Dr. Shults wears regular clothes and doesn't look all "doctory" (is that a word, lol), so it puts my child at ease. She loves it there. When my little girl was about 3 1/2 she fell and busted her forehead on the edge of the banister of our stairs and needed stitches. I was all ready to go to the ER, and my husband said, lets call Dr. Shults and see if she can do it. We called, and they said bring her right over. I had held pressure on it since it happened, so it wasn't bleeding anymore, but it was a deep cut. They put some numbing gel on it and put like a plastic bandage on it, so it wouldn't run off, and just let it sit there and numb up(then they went and checked on there other scheduled patients). When they came back in the room a little while later, it was all numb. They were busy that day, but the nurse and Dr. were both very calm and told my daughter step by step what they were going to do, on her age level, and that helped her stay calm. She laid perfectly still while the Dr. stitched her up and wanted to look at it when she was done. They also have a "treasure" box they can pick a small toy from and of course lollipops. Anyway I've been very happy and so has my daughter. They are a thriving office and I know many people who use her. The office is located off Pellisippi Parkway, I think Northshore exit, it's very close to Farragut, it may be even considered Farragut, I'm not sure, but you can look up directions on Mapquest, the address is Shults Pediatrics, 2027 Lakeside Centre Way, Knoxville,TN 37922 The phone is
