New Business Name...Help!

I just left my corporate job after 11 years - yikes!
I got my certification in home staging and redesign and I want to start my own business, but I need a name!

I want to focus on family friendly spaces that are chic and modern, not model home like- livable style.

I have been working with a few words: Function, Livable design, Redesigned Chaos -
Let me know your thoughts!

Thanks!
C.

I like Daily Design or Real Life Rooms...maybe Rooms for Reality. Wish you lived closer, I'd have you come on over!

I like "Liveable Design" - say away from chaos, cause it's not what you want to project.

I don't like "Redesigned Chaos" because it sounds chaotic, unprofessional, and I wouldn't use a service by that name if I wanted a house staged. Just being honest, because I am sure that's what you want!

I do like Livable Design...simple, to the point, and professional sounding. Function is just a little boring.

I just spent about five minutes looking up different things in the thesaurus, and I really can't come up with something better than Livable Design. It just sounds good!

Good luck with your business!

I am not familiar with "family-friendly" staging and redesign."

Are you wanting to do "staging" for a house to sell at its best price?
Or, are you wanting to help a family place their furniture and decor in a home that makes it kid friendly and efficient for moms and dads to live in and keep up?

I don't believe I've ever heard of someone being paid to do that. Organizers do part of that but not the furniture movement.....

I am not confident that most people would be willing to pay for something that they are not in great need for (such as selling a home, and decorating for the holidays for the higher inome levels).

You have a two sided market in this business, both homeowners and renters, Ssuming you will rent the space out to others. Because you will rent to people and they will likely be getting a deal, no need to appeal to them. Your true market is the homeowner and RE agents, so appeal to them. Unfortunately, livable design doesn't sell, clean spatious homes do. I would play up the "Real" in property.

Sorry no energy to think of new names.

I've loving what you said in your text- "Livable Style" I also like Penny's suggestion of Re/Focus Design, but with a little change Re/Focused Design.

And Organized Chaos is already taken... lol. It's my company name, I'm a Professional Organizer =) I see you live in Little Elm too? I'd love to get together over Starbucks or something; maybe we will have the opportunity to work together! Message me if you'd like to do that.

Livable Design ... simple. Appleals to all classes as it sounds upperclass, yet simple enough of a name to appeal to a lower-class. The "chic" and "diva" words in names throws me off. I'd call someone with a name like Livable Design before I'd call someone with Design Diva.

I agree with Patricia G. about staying away from using the word chaos -- you don't want to use anything in your business name which projects the opposite of what you want to achieve. How about "Family Living Designs"?
