I am looking for a good preschool for my daughter, who is about to be four. I am in Rowlett, TX. I would appreciate any suggestions, or recommendations. Additionally, does anyone know about primrose in Rowlett? My husband is in the Army wounded warrior program, and cost is an issue. Thanks.
If you're willing to go right on the Rowlett/Garland border Blue Ivey on Firewheel Pkwy (Garland) is awesome!! My daughter has been going there for a year now and is way more advanced than other kids her age. She's reading by herself at 4 years old, learning spanish, early math and so much more. The teachers/directors there are amazing. It's not too bad price wise either (I pay approx $150 a week for PK3)

I would suggest you research your state's educational benchmarks for children entering kindergarten, and in kindergarten. Then find a preschool that has a "curriculum" that prepares children for those benchmarks.

We used the Primrose in Rowlett when my daughter was an infant and LOVED it. The staff is amazing, the curriculum is great, and we felt very welcomed there. We only moved to the Firewheel one because it was closer to my job. Primrose is kind of expensive, but the Rowlett location is the most affordable one by far in the DFW metroplex. In the infant room we paid $215 a week, and then it went down to $190 a week when we moved to the toddler room. If your daughter is older, it will be a little cheaper than that. I have learned, with day care, you get what you pay for. And for me, spending that much was well worth it, especially when I look at how much she is learning every day.

Our son goes to Rockwall First Baptist Weekday School. It's on Tuesdays and Thursdays for $160 a month. We LOVE it. The teachers are really loving, and their curriculum is great! They even have a P.E. class with a coach!
We used to go to Spanish Schoolhouse in Rowlett. It was a LOT more expensive, and all the curriculum was in Spanish. It was ok, but we had a really bad teacher and decided to pull him out.
Your child should be able to attend your school district's Pre-K program for free since your husband is a wounded soldier.
Primrose is the absolute best in Rowlett, but unfortunately you get what you pay for - it's pricey. If you don't mind crossing the bridge, The Lighthouse in Rockwall is good and very affordable.
