Moving can be a horrible experience if you end up with the wrong people. I was referred to this company by a close friend, and it turned out to be the best moving experience I've had. We just moved here and did not have mover help, but here are a couple of ideas: 1) ask the youth group at your church (or any church) and offer to donate some money to their group. 2) you could do the same with a trustworthy shelter for men (I know, not the most careful or skilled plan, but if you're desperate for help it might be a thrifty solution). 3)Get movers to come pack boxes but you do the moving or vice-versa. We used a blaze firemen movers ###-###-####) in March to move from Bedford to Keller. They weren't inexpensive, but my husband thought it was a fair price. They worked hard and steadily. Nothing was broken or missing (which I've experienced A LOT in the past). I think part of the money goes to the firemen fund, and part goes to them, so it's a good cause.
