Need Movers

I feel so strongly for you! I have a 20 year old son with Asperger's, when he was diagnosed very little was known in the public forum about it. I struggled with doctors, teachers and strangers trying to get them to understand this young man. Even though his case is not as severe as your daughters the barriers of understanding are the same and the frustration, heartache and feelings of not getting the help are definitely the same. We used Midway Moving and Storage, do NOT use them, they dragged their feet and made a 3-4 hour move into 8 hours. We moved from a 2 bedroom apartment to another 2 bedroom apartment. This should not have taken this long. They did not honor the quote and broke mult. items.

I do NOT recommend "2 Men and a Truck" in that area. They are very unprofessional, they gave me a reasonable quote, but when it came time for them to move me, they sent me two college age kids who didn't know how to work together, how to move furniture without breaking it and they didn't even know their way through the town I was moving to (Oak Park) without running into a streets their truck wouldn't fit through. I was charged many more hours then I was quoted because of their lack of experience and I refused to pay until the price was lowered to a fair amount. I moved from St. Charles and they are from that area. Good luck with your search, do your homework before you let someone move your belongings.

We used Midway movers when we moved last year and they were great. They arrived early and were done within a few hours.

We've used Golan's. I don't know if they do the western suburbs, although I feel like I've seen their trucks everywhere. They were very competitively priced and were on time. We moved from a two bedroom apartment to a 5 story townhouse (with most of the heavy furniture upstairs!) and they did the job well with no moaning or groaning. Give Golan's a call. Good luck!
