Quick and cheap
veggie tray or friut tray. Store bought or home made.
Guacamole and salsa are always a hit with us.
7 layer dip is a great one.(hearty and inexpensive.)
1.can refried beans spread thick layer
2.sour cream w/ taco seasoning mixed in (spread)
3.guacamole w chopped tomatoes in it (this help it not
to turn brown)
4.shredded cheese
5.fresh or pickeled jalapenos
6.sliced black olives.
7.sliced green onions.
Garnish with tomato rose(w/paring knife start to cut the skin off tomato from the stem. Cut it all the way off in one long strip. Roll it up and skewer it on a toothpick.
You can also garnish with cilanto or just simply tortilla chips.
Lastly the never fail shrimp ring.
Good luck and god bless

Go to Kraftsfoods.com you will find a ton of great recipes!

I always took the spinach dip get a package of Knorr veggie powder soup mix, the recipe is on the back, that was a HUGE hit and I would put it in a Hawaiian bread bowl to serve with wheat thins.
Another thing is seven layer dip too, that is easy and you can put whatever you want on that.
There is a warm spinach/artichoke dip too, I don't have the recipe handy but I am sure you can get it online.
I did sausage balls too, get ground turkey sausage, mix with shredded cheddar (or whatever cheese you like) and bisquick until you can form solid balls with them, put them on a non stix cookie sheet and bake at 350 for at least 40 minutes or until thermometer says it is done, I believe it has to read 180 degrees.
Then I served them with honey and spicey mustards.

Here's an easy one. Use equal parts cream cheese and marshmallow cream. Beat them together until well blended and smooth. Cut up some fruit to dip in the cream goo. Apples are GREAT with this dip!

I like chipped beef cream cheese spread.

2 packages (8 oz. size) cream cheese, softened
1 jar (5 oz. size) dried beef, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2/3 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons green onions, chopped
2/3 cup pecans, chopped

Combine first 5 ingredients together and mix well. Place in a baking dish and top with pecans. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Serve warm with crackers.

you can eliminate the pecans. Sometimes I just do the cream cheese, chipped beef and 1tbs dried onion (add a little water to moisten) serve cold and its still good.

Ok I have 2 really easy recipes.
Crab dip
1 package imitation crab meat
1 bottle cocktail sauce
1 brick cream cheese
spread cream cheese on plater so it is a thin layer. Mix crab meat and cocktail sauce in a bowl then spread that on top of cream cheese. Serve with ritz crackers. It's so good.

Salsa
1 can salsa
1 can black beans
1 can corn
1 avocado

mix all three cans together in a bowl add diced up avocado and serve with lime chips. It makes a good chunky salsa.
