C.,
Do you go to a local church? If you do, ask for help! I belong to a church and our women's group makes up a bunch of dinners whenever somebody is in need. Then whoever's turn it is, takes them all over to the persons house that needs them. We tape a recipe card, with the cooking instructions, plus the recipe (for when they feel better) to the top of the dish. We always make sure that we take complete meals, like a stew plus cornbread, lasagna with salad, you get the idea. this is something that we all love to do!) If you don't belong to a church, ask friends and family to do the same thing. That's what friends and family are for! They also have a lot of ready to cook things in the freezer section of your local Walmart store. Stouffer's lasagna's, turkey w/stuffing or mashed potatoes. These come in big family size boxes. A friend or family member could go shopping for you and pick up a few ready made dinners. Salad comes ready made in a bag now for a side dish.
Another solution that worked wonders for my oldest daughter during her last pregnancy, is to eat a spoonful of peanut butter to take away the nausea. She swears by it to this day! She would feel terribly sick, then eat a spoonful of peanut butter and she would be fine. My best friend says that she put a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and drank it, and that took away all of her nausea. It worked for another friend who is pregnant right now. So try those two home remedies. I'm sure you probably have peanut butter at home with two little boys. If you don't have apple cider vinegar in your pantry, it is very inexpensive to buy. Get a small bottle and try it. But no more than a teaspoon in a cup of water.
Also, your ob/gyn should be able to prescribe something for the nausea for you. You shouldn't have to go through another pregnancy feeling like this, especially with two other boys (three counting your husband!) :o) to take care of!
Your husband may feel frustrated and irritated, but he seems to be handling it alright. From what you say anyway. He is half of the reason that you are pregnant! :) Anyway, if you get some of the ready to cook casseroles from the freezer section of Walmart, you could put it in the oven or microwave so that it will be ready to take out 10 minutes after he gets home. Then he can put it on the table and feed the boys when you feel too sick. It's easy clean up with those dishes too.
By the way, our church women's group puts all of the dishes in aluminum, or disposable, inexpensive tupperware type stuff, so that they aren't worried about getting their dishes back from you.
Good luck to you! Let me know if you find a solution, please!
I am a mother of 5 kids, ages 28 to 12, the 12 year-old is my only child living at home now. I also have 5 grandchildren.
P.S. Has your 3-year-old always been like this with his little brother, or just since you became pregnant and ill? He might be frustrated, and when you feel better and can take him outside to play (when the weather cooperates) I'm sure that will release some of his pent up energy.
