Moving to Neenah from Chesterfield Mi

Hello i am moving to Neenah wi in January from chesterfield mi. I have lived in mi my whole life but husband got an amazing job with Oshkosh Defense and well mi is not doing good with jobs so we are moving. I am really excited but will not have any family or friends. I have two kids my son is 6 1/2 and my daughter is 3. I need advice on pediatricians and also schools for both kids and dentist. I am really hoping i meet some other moms soon. If you could please tell me about the area that would be awsome. I am so scared and excited. We were there about 2 weeks ago and from asking strangers everyone seems to love the area. Also i have worked for Lowes for 6 years and will be losing my job to move im very sad about it but i would have no one to babysit but will be looking for work so any daycares that are good to thank you

So What Happened?

Sorry so late! Thank you so much it really means a lot. Esp moving to another state with no one except our little family. We actually found a house in Menasha and they just accepte our offer. My hubby has started at Oshkosh this week. We are still here in MI just waiting for all the final stuff with the house and letting my son go to school longer here. I hate to pull him out now but he will be in school in WI in late feb. I will def trying out this place you ladies are talking about. When we get more situated i will be pming you. Thank you again so much. Also it never said i had messages from you ladies. I will be checking more.

HI A.,
I live in Menasha which is right next to Neenah. I love the area and the people who live here. I think it still feels small town-ish, but still has lots to do that isn't far away. I also recommend Mom & Pop Place in Neenah. They have different get togethers on different days which would be a great way to meet other moms. Doctors would depend on your insurance, but there are a lot of good ones to choose from. My brother and brother-in-law also work for Oshkosh and they say a lot of great things about the company. Welcome to the area, I'm sure you and your family will be very happy!

Welcome to Neenah! I hope you will love it here!

If your health plan includes the Affinity Network, I highly recommend Dr Timothy Marsho as a pediatrician. My son is only 5 months old, so we don't have a ton of experience with him yet, but what we have has been fantastic - I wish I could have him for my doctor! :)

We recently moved to Neenah from outside Chicago with two little ones, now 3 and 8 months. We use Dr. Bogner, who is a family practitioner, and really like him. Drs. Timothy and Tiffany Tweedy (Dentistry by Design) have been wonderful for us and the kids. I'm a stay at home mom, but my son is in a Montessori pre-school here that we love. Be sure to take the kids to Mom and Pop place on Wisconsin Ave.-- a great cafe/toystore/play area. Please feel free to message me if there are other things I can help with!

My kids are all grown up but I have 3 grandchildren I can advise you on most of the questions you have. There is a Lowes here in Darboy, about 10-12 miles from Neenah, maybe you can get a job transfer.
