We are moving to BA next week... What are the local companies you use for electricity, gas, telephone, water/trash, cable, telephone, and internet?

We use verizon fios right now but I don't think they are in Oklahoma. So we need to find new services. Also, we are moving into Fairway Crossing in a rental home... will it need gas? I know that is a dumb question but I've never lived in a home that uses gas. Our rental home was built in 2007 if that helps.

Thanks!
C.

Fairway Crossing is just west of County Line road (the road that runs north and south between Tulsa and Wagoner counties)...so it's in the City of Broken Arrow in Tulsa County. I live about a mile north of that addition! :-)

Electricity is provided by American Electric Power/PSO, gas by Oklahoma Natural Gas, water/trash by City of BA, cable, telephone and internet (I recommend) COX. May want to talk to your property manager/landlord about the need for gas...could be your water heater or stove that requires it also.

Try this website for further information...there are some links that will help you with moving issues.

Best of luck...and welcome to BA!

Welcome to Broken Arrow!! My family moved to BA 2 years ago from the east/midtown Tulsa area and we love it!

Gas--ONG (most places around here use gas for one thing or another usually water heater, furnace, etc)
Electric--AEP/PSO
Trash/Water--City of Broken Arrow
There are a number of companies you can use for cable, home phone and internet. COX actually does bundle packages so you can have all 3 and do one bill. I've been a Cox customer for over 5 years and have been pleased with their service. I will tell you that one place you DON'T want to go with for home phone is VALOR TELECOM--I have heard that their prices stink as well as their customer service.

Send me an email when you get into the area, would love to do anything to help make you feel welcome!

Electricity - PSO/AEP
Gas - ONG
Phone/Cable/Internet - COX (the very best!)
Water/Trash - City of Broken Arrow

Each home is different, but most homes that are new construction like yours are heated with Natural Gas.

Good luck - and welcome to Broken Arrow!

Hi C., Welcome to BA(Broken Arrow, Ok)!!!!!
We use Cox Cable, or Satelite, which ever you prefer. I have satelite now and hate it so I will be going back to Cox when my contract is over. Telephone in BA is Windstream, they also provide internet. Cox provides internet also. Gas is ONG, Electric is PSO, Water is City of BA also trash, depending on how far out in BA you live. Pretty nice city to live in, pretty safe for now anyway. Any more ?'s just drop me a line. Good luck on the move and God Bless!
