Has anyone seen it? We are waiting on an oil delivery and I need something to do with my 2 year old son until it arrives since it is FREEZING here! Do you think a 2 year old will like Tangled (he LOVES alvin and chipmunks, a curious george, frannys feet etc)? Is it a good choice for him? Is it appropriate for a 2 year old?

What can I do next?

We went on Friday. Although my kids are older - even my 11 year old son enjoyed it. I think it's one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I read some reviews that thought it was a little "dark" - but aren't most Disney movies somehow dark? What about Malificent in Sleeping Beauty or the Octopus in Little Mermaid?
I would take him - you'll both have a great time.

Yes, it's a good movie. I loved it and everyone I know that has seen it loved it. A 2 yrs old might have a hard to sitting through a whole movie at the theater but it's during the day, there won't be too many people there so it's the perfect time to give it a try! Enjoy! :)

I've heard it's good for boys and girls, if that's what you mean.

I personally LOVED it!

If he can sit still long enough, i'm sure he'll like it. Lots of action!!

You'll love it too.

I just got back from seeing it with my 2 year old.

He enjoyed it (although when we were leaving he said "Mama, what was that movie about?" lol).

He did get a little antsy at one point, but it turned out he was just looking for the popcorn, lol (and yes, I did get popcorn and other snacks "just in case.")

You'll never know until you try. Good luck!

It is hilarious...however, my 4 year old could/would not keep the 3D glasses on. You might have problems with that.

It's really loud and the girl is obnoxious. Take him to the library, a mall where he can run. Get an annual subscription to an indoor children's museum - it's hands on, lots of kids and parents, warm and active for him - with a place for you to sit down.

What is his attention span? I read the movie is over an hour, can he sit that long?

We went with my 3.5 and 4.5 yr old daughter and nephew. They were able to sit through it fine( probably an issue for a 2 yr old). It is one of the less graphic/violent Disney movies I've seen in a long time! However, there are intense chase scenes with "scary" villains and pounding music. Also, near the end the old woman turns really old really fast (think: indiana jones and the last crusade) and falls out of the tower. Both our kids were crying at some point in the movie, but they aree pretty sensitive. The big screen is just very intense for the little ones. Good movie overall, though! When it comes to video we will be sure to buy it for repeat watching at home and I anticipate no problems.

Although it's a good movie, I think it's not for a two year old. Too long for him. Rather take him to a Chuck E. Cheese or a Little Gym, something indoors that he can enjoy better for a couple of hours. The Liberty Science Museum might be good too, or a Zoo.
Blessings.

My son went to a birthday party at the movies when he was 3 1/2. It was his first movie theater experience and I stayed with him. He had a hard time sitting still and he was in my lap for a scene that scared him (was some kind of lava monster). When he could sit still for a whole movie on DVD at home, I knew he was ready for a theater.
I'd like to go see Tangled myself, but I'll probably wait till it's on DVD.

We went to see Tangled on Saturday and my 4 yo loved it (I did too)! The movie is funny. I don't think it's inappropriate, but it depends or whether he will sit for it or not. It's well over one hour long.

It is a very cute movie. You know your child better than anyone and every child is different but I think he would like it). Don't do 3-D unless you have to because he may not want to wear the glasses and without them things are a bit fuzzy.

By the time previews are counted you will be in the theater for two hours...too long for a 2 year old??? You know best.

Hi,

I went to see it with my 3 1/2 year old daughter last weekend. It was her first theatre movie because when she was younger I just knew she wouldn't sit through a whole movie in the theatre. Honestly she loved it and I loved it myself. Great movie. I know all children are different and I know a 2 year old that just loved to watch TV constantly. The movie is 1 hour 40 mins.
So you have to decide based on experience if you think that he can stay put for that long amount of time. Honestly at 2 in my opinion (based on the experiences with my daughter) is a little too young for a movie that length.
Maybe you would be better off taking him to a play area at the mall or even to the library. Whatever you decide I hope you have fun together :)
