My son is 14 months old and I am lucky enough to have my parents here to watch him while I work part-time. However, I want him to socialize some with other kids. We tried to join a gym this summer but he didn't like going to the daycare at all. Looking back, I think it was to overwhelming and loud for him b/c it was in a huge room that had all ages and he cried every time I took him. So, I am looking for a good Mothers Day Out or something about once a week to take him to in the Lewisville/Flower Mound area that is more structured and calm for him. I want to be able to leave him and hopefully he'll learn to enjoy playing with the other kids. Any suggestions, pricing, and contacts would be appreciated.

What can I do next?

Have you tried Adventure Kids in Flower Mound? It is hourly, but I think they have am MDO type program as well. I have used them as drop off day care and was happy with them. http://web.adventurekidsplaycare.com/about.html

I don't know if you would like to come up to the Denton area for a program for your 14 month old. We are beginning a new preschool at Cross Timbers Community Church in Denton, off the downtown Denton square. We begin at 12 months and have openings. We'll offer on Mondays & Wednesdays from 9am-1pm. Cost is $140 a month and you can check out our website at www.crosstimberschurch.org, under Denton campus then go under CT Kids to find the CT Kids preschool icon.

I dont know what hours you're looking for but my nanny comes to watch my 8 mo old baby girl from 11-2 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm looking for someone to bring their baby during these hour to makes things finacially worthwhile for the nanny and also so that my 8 mo old can begin socializing with another infant without being overwhelmed. My daughter is shy and is not ready for large playgroups,MDOs or noisy daycares.
My home is very nice, located in Preston Hollow, and I have a HUGE childproof playroom. Let me know if you are interested. :-)
Oh, and the cost for both days is 50/wk.
