I never thought I would say this, but I think I am going to a Monster Truck event with my little girl. Crazy things I do for fun. Anyway, I know we need heavy plugs or muffs but where do we get them?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Go with ear muffs instead of plugs.
I've been to these events and have worn both.
Ear muffs work!
We use the kind lanscapers use when using the leaf blower.
You can buy them at Home Depot type places.
Maybe try Wal-Mart in their sporting good section.
Tell them you want the type people wear when skeet shooting (or maybe they even wear them at rifle ranges?).
Have fun!
Definitely get them for the little one but get some for you too!
You'll be glad you did!

Edit: Oh and get them BEFORE you go in case they don't have the right ones or heaven forbid......sell out!

My husband is a race car driver, and our daughter has been going to the track since she was 3 weeks old. I found some earplugs by accident, and my husband tried them too....he has lots of experience with them and said that they are the best that he has ever used. I got them at a Publix in Miami, but I think that I have seen them in Walmart too. (pharmacy section)

I bought a package of the children's, they are bright orange, & you can rip them apart to size them and squish and mold them to fit perfectly. Because they are bright orange, it is easy to see right away if one has fallen out ....a big concern of mine when our daughter was an infant, and then as a toddler when I was afraid that she would pop them in her mouth. They have never fallen out, and are very comfortable. If the link doesn't work, google
"mack's earplugs". Have fun!

Eta: I some one else's post about paying $13., I don't know what the current price of Mack's might be, but they were less than $5. when I bought them!

Home depot has the ear muffs in their power tool section. My kids think fireworks are too loud but not if they use the ear muffs!

Is it outside? We went to one inside one time and it was horrible. Not only was it lounder but the fumes were horrible. Never thought about it until we went. Outside is much better!!

When I went we got the nose bled seats for this very reason. If you are way up high you will not need them. It all depends on the venue. Regular ear plugs that you can purchase at Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart should work just fine though.

We got some noise cancelling headphones through Amazon in a child's size. My son wore them to a Monster Truck event last month and they worked really well.
