No. I took my 4 and 5 year old girls to the monster truck show last year - it was indoors and VERY loud, but they did fine with ear plugs and they loved it. As long as you protect his ears he's plenty old enough to enjoy it.
Saw someone's post about monster truck rally earphones and got me thinking as my son is obsessed with monster trucks. There's a monster jam show tomorrow night near us and my husband is considering taking him, it's outdoors and we'd buy headphones. He's almost 4, is that too young????

My son is 4.5 and went to one a couple of weeks ago. He loved it and wants to play monster trucks all the time now. Several of his friends went too, including one who is almost 4.
Mine brought noise-cancelling headphones and I think those helped a lot.
Encourage ear plugs to protect his/her ears. Be prepared for them to possible feel a bit sick from the fumes. Most children that age are in "awe" of the massive size. Could be fun, if they are nto afraid of loud noises.
We're from a drag facing family. My oldest went to the races at around two, Grandpa was in a nostalgia drag race and being honored at the dinner that evening. Of course ear plugs are important but if he's not a timid kid then he'd probably love it. Have fun!
My son went at 4 and absolutely loved it. My hubby did say he wished he had our headphones with him. But other than that, it was great! He is 6 now and still talks about going to see the Monster Truck Jam.
No way! My son just turned 4 and he would LOVE to go to a monster truck rally...can we tag along? Just kidding. :-) Have fun!
plug those ears! It's truly that loud!
Both of my sons went at early ages & loved it.
Check on the availability of tickets, though. In our part of the USA, they sell out quickly!
No0o i dont think so.. but you might wana bring earplugs it might be a little loud for him
My son has been going every year since he was 19 months. He is 4.5 now and just went a couple of weeks ago. He looks forward to it every year!
I worked may a tractor truck pull in my life. The ear plugs will be nice but if the vibrations get to him make sure to pay attention. It may not be the sound in his ears. The vibrations in the chest can be very unnerving. He may not know how to deal with that. But I would still take him. I always leave for a bit and walk around outside the bleachers. They block the sound waves that cause the vibrations so much.
Hope he had lots of fun.
I think he will be ok if you get him earplugs. I have known people that take their kids younger than that and have had no issues using earplugs.
my daughter would love it (shes 4)... what i would do is buy the head phones that block out anything over 80 decibles.
We've been taking my son since he was almost 2. He absolutely LOVES it. He's 4 now and he just went last month and had a blast going.
Nope, we brought our boys 3 and 5 this year and last year and they loved it!!! My best friends kids are 2 and 4 and they also enjoyed it. Make sure to get the headphones for sure and they will enjoy themselves. We had so much fun this year, since we got seats right up front and caught the dirt from the wheels. Have fun!
We have been going to car races all my kids lives. We buy the purple earplugs (target, walmart)...
Tomorrow while my daughter and I have a girls day with Girl Scouts...hubs and my four year old will be going to the Monster Truck Show...and they are both extremely excited!
So no...I don't think it's to young.
We just took our 2 & 4 yo boys in January & they loved it!!! When it first started, it startled my 2 yo b/c of the noise. We had ear plugs & that helped. I def recommend getting done ear protection.
Have a blast!!!
As long as you and dad are there and he has protective gear, he'll have a blast. He might fall asleep in your arms or in the car on the way home, but that's all he will be talking about for days.
Blessings....
we literally just got back this evening from the monster truck show (indoors)...we took our kids ages 4, 6 & 7 .....we all had a blast
