I'd love to find a moms' group or create one if there's nothing out there. I live near UCDMC in Tahoe Park and would love to find other moms without having to drive to Elk Grove, Roseville or Folsom, which seems to be the only groups I've found so far. My daughter, Olivia, is 6 months old and we're both excited to meet some new people.
My friend lives in Tahoe park and she said there isn't much in that area so she comes to a MOPS group in West Sac. If you want more info on it, let me know. My email is ____@____.com's only about 10-15 min from Tahoe Park.

My oldest is in kindergarten, so I cannot schedule things from 11:30 until 12:15 because I need to be home for the bus.
Hi T.. I live in the area also and would love to go to a mama's group. Currently I don't know of one. However, through mothers support network there is a group that meets at Tahoe Park on Tuesday or Wednesday and you can look up the details by finding the mothers support network website. Also, I go on walks in the morning and would love to find a walking partner(s) if you are interested in that.

Isn't it great being a mom? :) I have a 10 month old named Gabriela that I wish I could stay home with.
Anyway, in terms of the playgroup, if you (or any other parents out there) want to start one up there are $5000 community grants available through First 5 Sacramento. You just need 3 people to come together to help plan it; activities need to benefit 0-5 years and encourage people to get to know each other. There are lots of other types of activities that qualify too- book clubs, art activities...the possibilities are open.

My name is D. and I am an assistant organiser with a meetup group called the Sac Moms Group, we have about 30 members at the moment and they have children from newborn to ..... We like to meet at other moms houses for a playgroup usually once a week and we also do different park locations, indoor play like Bouncespot and Chuckee cheese, moms night out occasionally, libraries and basically just keep our members informed of things that are going on in Sacramento and surrounding areas. The cost is $10 per year and that pays for our meetup website fee and seasonal parties and activities, even if your daughter doesn't do to much at the moment soon enough she will and by then you will have gotten to know other moms and kids the same age as your daughter. Take a look and try us out for a month before paying.
Go to meetup.com and then go to the parenting section and click on The Sacramento Moms Group. I know that we have two moms in Tahoe park both with a toddler and a baby ages about 7 months I think.
