HELP!! My homework is due tonight and I simply cannot understand Excel Pivot Table. I have read, re-read professor's notes and instructions. I have searched and read tutorials.....I have most of my assignment complete, but the last four reports are in Excel Pivot Table and I keep getting error codes, can't close file, etc. Everyone in my household has helped me, read everything....my assignment is due tonight. I started this earlier in the week, but lost power on Thursday and have been at it again since early Saturday morning.....any one know Excel, specifically Pivot Table?
Thank you for all your suggestions! I did go through several searches for tutorials, etc., to try and find a solution to the error messages....but the bottom line: I inserted a formula that the professor gave us to use and even though I copied it exactly, the formula was wrong. That is why I kept getting the error messages even when I was giving up and just trying to save and exit! He sent an email last night.....thanks everyone!

Try YouTube. Looks like there are many tutorials for that. Good luck!
What's the issue? I use Pivot Tables all the time and they're pretty easy once you get the hang of them. What kind of info are you trying to aggregate? What are the errors you're getting? What version of Excel are you using?
try going to You Tube with your question-you may get an amazing demo-good luck!
I can't even imagine an error message you would get in closing. Most of the error messages you get as soon as you mess something up. The only error messages you get on closing are if you are trying to save in an incompatible version. Like if you are running macros or VBA you cannot close except in macro enabled or you lose nearly everything.
Other than that pivot tables are a function of dragging. Set up your column fields, row fields and the formulas....
