We might be moving back to San Diego, North county area. We have an awesome Dance Company here that is Christian Dance. the quality of the instructors are top notch and are very much in demand, many of them also teach at the Atlanta Ballet and other prestigious dance schools in the area.
Is there anything like that in the North County Area?
We would like something that has good quality instructors but never asks the girls to compromise themselves by improper costuming and dance moves. Maybe someone knows of a church that does a Nativity Ballet each year that she could be a part of??
Thanks to everyone that gave advice! We do not have to move and my daughter is very happy that she can still dance at her current studio. Through this she was able to see that there is not many studios in the country like the one she is at. This has enforced her goal and her dream of being and Christian dance instructor and owning her own studio someday.
Hi M., welcome back home. I moved here 18 months ago and I would like to find the same for my 15 year old. We came from NJ, and had a lovely liturgical dance program in our church and local dance school.
We enrolled in a very professional, high quality ballet school here- but too difficult physically and schedule wise for my daughter. Keep looking, and I will too! Kindest regards, M.
It's not a Christian Dance School, but Carlsbad Dance Centre has great dance teachers, classes and environment. They are very aware of age appropriate music and costuming for their recitals.

Hi, wow that is interesting. I do not believe there are any. However, I can tell you that we attend North Coast Calvary Chapel in Carlsbad and my girls LOVE it. We go for a quick bite before church, go to church, and then go for some frozen yogurt. What an enjoyable evening, praising God and also having our girls Love it too! I grew up not really loving Sunday school (I grew up Episcopal) and find this an amazing thing. We go on Saturday nights at 6pm. My little girls 5 &2 can hardly wait to go. I enjoy it to since they have the more contemporary band on Saturday. The pastor is excellent. His sons have made it and are Christian Rock stars. Switchfoot. Pretty neat. They have an excellent youth ministry. Good luck finding a dance company. Maybe this is your calling to organize one!
My three daughters have taken dance at Katharine's Academy of Dance for the past 10 years and have thoroughly enjoyed it! My daughters are 11, 14 & 17 yrs. old. The prices are affordable (we could never of put all three girls in dance with the other studio rates out there!) It is a Christian dance studio and Kathie strives to set her studio apart from other places in regards to this. The studio is at a temporary location right now in Vista and will be moving to a more permanent location in Vista in June 2008.
