I have had Jean Phillipe on Lovers recommended to me and was wondering if there is someone there that someone here would recommend...OR another salon--I am in The Colony so I need someone in North Plano, Frisco, tollway area (preferably) but will travel farther for a good style!!

I use Mona at the JC Penney Salon in Stonebrier Mall. She is wonderful! I have been using her for over 5 years now and I will never use anyone else. She has colored, cut, highlighted, carmelized, and styled my hair (I like to change my look a lot) and I have never once been disappointed. And, her prices are very reasonable. I absolutely LOVE my stylist. I teach, and she styles most of the women I work with--they all love her, and she's REALLY affordable (hair cut's about 40 bucks, and so is color!) She's in the salons on the north side of Park just East of Preston--by where the old Target used to be in Plano. The salons have a big blue awning covering the valet parking. Anyway, her name is Tina, and her number is 469/326-1876. I'll be honest, though, she's tough to get in to--you usually have to book about 3 weeks in advance. Also, she's not the greatest about calling back--just keep stalking her! :) She's worth it!

I go to Patricia Drake at Drake's Studio 21 in Irving. It's a bit of a hike but VERY worth it!!! All the girls in my office go to her and we wouldn't "cheat" on her to save our lives, she is the best!!

I don't mind driving the extra from The Colony to see her in Irving, she's worth every mile! And with being able to drive on the George Bush Turnpike, it takes less than 30 minutes to get there anyway, so it really isn't so bad.

I HIGHLY recommend Tona of Real Hair Alternatives. I've been going to her for 10 years now. She's right off FM 407 on the Lewisville/Highland Village border (Salons on 407). She cut, styled and colored both mine and my husband's hair for our wedding for FREE (it was her wedding present to us)!!!!
