I love going to Lagnaippe (pronounced lay-nap) on Eldorado prkwy, next to a pool supply store and a Chinese restaurant. I have seen Monique and Shana. They are both VERY good, the salon staff is very friendly and they have done awesome on my crazy hair! I actually have a real stylish haircut, and it only cost $45 plus tip. It's better than going to supercuts and more more affordable than the super upscale salons. Those can be slightly intimidating for me. I hope that help you. :)

Jennifer at Sean David Salon at the Shops at Legacy is great. And its a fun place to go, cause you can grab lunch down there too! :)Also, Gracie at Touch of Heaven Salon in downtown McKinney, kinda in the square (right next door to the really big, old church). From the outside it might look kinda old, but inside is great. The atmosphere is really good, and they do an awesome job. They're great for color too.

I have "difficult" hair, ethnic hair, very long and thick with (get this) a cowlick that causes it to start being wavy in just one small section in the back! MANUEL PINA is the only person that can cut it to where it lays beautifully in perfect layers, grows out great and always looks in style and fabulous! I've followed him from T&G Stonebriar, to T&G Northpark, to T&G Willow Bend Mall then to his own booth at Salon Boutique across from Willow Bend Mall (next to Michael's). I use Amber at Bonita's They are in Allen on McDermoit. It is right across the street from the police station.

I use Red Door Salon at Willow Bend. My hair stylist is terrific. Her name is Terri. My colorist is terrific too and her name is Amy. I highly recommend both. There was a time when I would sit in the chair for four hours between color and cut...today it is less than an hour and I've never been more satisfied with both. A little pricing, but my time is more valuable.

I've gone to my stylist, Rene, for over 10 years. He's always up to date on style and is the best in his class for color. In fact, he's so good, he's won a trip to Italy for being one of the top 3 colorists for his product in the country. His rates are reasonably competitive, he'll do whatever you request, his shop is super casual- not an uptight salon. He starts his day at 12 & is closed on Sun-Mon-Tue. He's on NE corner of Independence & Spring Creek Pkwy in Plano- his salon is called Legends. You can make and view your appt on his website (mystylist.info)& request appt changes via email.
