I agree with Santa's Village. The best time to go is during the day. Last year I got some great pictures of my son!
For several years now I've just taken my own pictures of our kids for our Christmas card photo, but I've run out of ideas for anything new (I hate doing the same thing twice, even though I know I'm the only one who will notice!). I'm looking for a mall or some other public place where I can take my kids to snap a few great pictures. I looked into the snow globes at Willow Bend, but the life-size figures would send my 5 year old into therapy for the next 10 years. I'd prefer it to be in the Carrollton/Lewisville/Plano area, but I'm willing to drive farther if needed. Thanks!

Head out to the Gaylord Texan hotel! Great pictures:) ~A.~
How about the giant snow globes in Willow Bend Mall?
Richardson has a Santa's Village (lots of cute buildings and decorations) behind the city library at 75 and Arapaho. The village is mainly for nighttime visitors when it's all lit up and they have different groups performing, but there is access to it during the day for photos. Very few people are there during the day, it is very crowded at night.
The Gaylord Texan is really great. There are christmas trees, a life-sized gingerbread house, and great photo spots everywhere, and the little electric trains are awesome. It costs to park there, but we try to make it an event when we go. Walk all around the atrium and lobby to look at decorations, then stop in a coffee shop for hot chocolate.
I am for Santa's Village. We have fun every year there. Good pic during the day as night time is WAY overcrowded.
Vista Ridge Mall in Lewisville has a HUGE tree on the lower level under the food court. Because it is so big you don't have to worry about centering the picture much. The kids can actually climb up the the ptatform surrounding it. I have a pic of my daughter and my dad a few years back with this tree and it looks great. Have fun, I can't wait to read all the responses.
