Here are some of the best sites I've found for holiday activities throughout the metroplex:
http://www.town-mall.net/community/events-december.html
http://www.town-mall.net/community/dfwchristmaslights.html
http://listings.guidelive.com/search?acat=&cat=&c...

And of course, if you're looking for activities in Lewisville, Flower Mound, Highland Village or the surrounding communities (Grapevine, Coppell, Carrollton, etc.) check out Family eGuide:

If you are taking him to the Gaylord, Southlake Town Centre isn't far...They have carriage rides and Santa set up in the gazeebo...It is beautiful. I would suggest that.

Hi! Before you spend lots of money on ICE at the Gaylord, you may want to consider just spending some time there walking around the hotel. That's what we do with my daughters and three nieces. It's become a holiday tradition and it's lots of fun. The Gaylord really does it right! We finally saw ICE last year and were very disappointed. It was cool (no pun intended) but not worth the money. Plus, it was really crowded, which made it even less enjoyable. If you're going to spend money, I'd recommend just visiting the Gaylord and then taking him to Holiday in the Park at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington. Right now everyone pays kids prices, so it's still not cheap, but it's a better value than ICE and it's always fun. Sundance Square in Fort Worth is always decorated well with it's huge Christmas tree. There are carriage rides in Dallas you can schedule for your family or you can visit the Galleria Mall in Dallas and go ice skating, as well as enjoy the decorations. Here are a couple of websites that may help you decide what to do: http://home.flash.net/~whaugen/dfwthingstodo.htm#Seasonal and http://listings.guidelive.com/. Have a wonderful time during this holiday season!
