Hi there,

My sister is moving from Sydney to NY in a couple of weeks and she is looking for a good formula for her 10 month old. I think she would prefer organic of some sort-any advice appreciated.

What can I do next?

It is not roganic but I swear by Carnation Good Start. It gets broken down much faster and easier so it does not bother their tummies therefore far less spitting up!!

I'd have her consult her pediatrician, since the pediatrician likely knows the most about the infant's health history and what would work best for the baby.

hi!
it isnt organic, but if i were to have another child i wouldnt give them anything but good start. made by nestle. the protiens are already broken down and way easier for the baby to digest. too bad i didnt know this for the first 3-4 months of my daughters life, we would of had a much happier baby!!! all she did was scream because her tummy hurt.
it is great stuff, and to top it off, cheaper!

I would definitely recommend Earth's Best (formerly Horizon). It's one of the only formulas made by a company that only makes organic products.

I breast fed for a year and supplemented with this formula when my son was at day care. We had great luck with it.

Whatever she decides, I recommend reading the labels. Most store-bought formulas are around 50% corn syrup solids, which turned out to be the reason our son had problems with store-bought formula. I also agree with the recommendation to consult with her doctor before making any changes.

I used Enfamil but don't know if they have organic. I know Similac does have organic formula.

Like others, I also recommend Earth's Best. Nutritionally it seems to be a little better than some of the other organic brands, but be aware it does not contain DHA, and you may want to find a DHA supplement.

I would have her use the same formula she uses now unless it is not available here. If she is switching to formula after breastfeeding I think any would do.

Earth's Best makes an organic formula. It's available at most grocery stores.

my doc told me that they were all roughly the same. it was like cola versus pepsi. i mainly use breast milk but when my baby gets formula she doesn't seem to care which brand it is.
